Sarah Palin Tells NRA Conference Waterboarding Is 'Baptism For Terrorists'

Daily Mail -- Sarah Palin said she would 'baptize' terrorists by waterboarding them at a NRA rally on Saturday.

Palin was a speaker at the group's 'Stand and Fight Rally,' held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The Republican former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee's remarks followed her criticism of policies she said were coddling to enemies that would annihilate America - they who'd obviously have information on plots to say, carry out jihad.

'Oh, but you can't offend them, can't make them uncomfortable, not even a smidgen.’

'Well, if I were in charge, they would know that waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists,' she said. Her remarks were met with loud applause.

As pointed out by Raw Story, Palin's remarks on Saturday differ strongly from those of her 2008 running mate Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), who was tortured as a prisoner of war in Vietnam.

'In my personal experience, the abuse of prisoners sometimes produces good intelligence, but often produces bad intelligence because under torture a person will say anything he thinks his captors want to hear –- whether it is true or false –- if he believes it will relieve his suffering,' McCain said in 2011.

Palin also criticized an 'intellectual elite in a far-distant capital' that she said wanted Americans to abandon Revolutionary War ideals.

She also implied that the government is trying to control the people.

'Look, if you control oil, you control an economy,' she said. 'If you control money, you control commerce. But if you control arms, you control the people and that is what they're trying.'

Elsewhere in her speech, she called the idea of gun-free zones as 'stupid on steroids' and dismissed the idea of gun stores being linked to crime.

'Gun stores are an accomplice to crime - and that fork made me fat,' she said.

Sarah Palin: If I Were President 'Waterboarding Is How We'd Baptize Terrorists'

Blog author’s comments - Thank you Sarah Palin, the truth is always so simple. It's all the deceptions and misdirection from the left that is perplexing and anything Palin says annoys and irritates the left. She also is disliked by the GOP establishment as are a few other true conservatives. She is a very good, down to earth and honest speaker and that is one reason why liberals hate her. As far as waterboarding the terrorists, I agree with her.

I believe she honestly cares for our country and the values and laws that most of our citizens not so long ago respected. Since Obama assumed office America has gone down hill and I am afraid it will never be the great place it once was because of the leftist culture, mindset and even some members of the Republican Party. We would do much better with a few more people like Sarah Palin attempting to lead the country to a better future.

Justice Sotomayor: Affirmative Action 'Opened Doors In My Life'

WPRO News Talk -- (WASHINGTON) -- In a dissent to Tuesday’s Supreme Court ruling upholding Michigan’s voter-approved ban on affirmative action programs in its public colleges, Justice Sonia Sotomayor speaks from experience about the complex impact of such programs on her own life.

Sotomayor’s 58-page dissent, joined by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, has one theme: Race matters.

Sotomayor notes that voters in Michigan could have used other means to eliminate the use of race-sensitive admissions policies.

“They could have persuaded existing board members to change their minds through individual or grassroots lobbying efforts, or through general public awareness campaigns,” she says. “Or they could have mobilized efforts to vote uncooperative board members out of office, replacing them with members who would share their desire to abolish race-sensitive admissions policies.”[…]

In her recent memoir, My Beloved World, Sotomayor writes about the impact of affirmative action in her life. She details her time at Princeton: “The Daily Princetonian routinely published letters to the editor lamenting the presence on campus of 'affirmative action students,' each one of whom had presumably displaced a far more deserving affluent white male and could rightly be expected to crash into the gutter built of her own unrealistic aspirations. There were vultures circling, ready to dive when we stumbled. The pressure to succeed was relentless, even if self-imposed out of fear and insecurity.”[...]

Sotomayor, 59, writes that “much has changed” in the thinking about affirmative action “since those early days when it opened doors in my life. But one thing has not changed: to doubt the worth of minority students’ achievement when they succeed is really only to present another face of the prejudice that would deny them a chance even to try.”

Entire column...
Blog author’s comments – Is Justice Sotomayor proud of her success because of her skin color? She is a member of the SCOTUS because she is also a female and more importantly a far left liberal who just like the man who appointed her, does not firmly believe in the Constitution. I also think that because of the help of affirmative action, we have Barack Obama as the President of the United States. Those who are conservatives should hope that during Obama’s remaining time in office he is not able to appoint another justice to the high court. If that should happen the country will be in much deeper trouble than we already are.

More False Statements By Politicians

Another Obama Lie: No New Taxes On Americans

A new report from Americans for Tax Reform found that Obama
has proposed a whopping 442 tax increases since taking office.

More False Statements

From day one, Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has remained laser-focused on a single purpose: to make health care a right, not a privilege, for all Americans. Her leadership has been forceful, effective, and essential.

It's an act of love. It's an act of commitment to your family. I honestly think that that is a different kind of crime. There should be a price paid, but it shouldn't rile people up that people are actually coming to this country to provide for their families.

These people are just waiting, waiting for a chance to be able to contribute fully, and by that standard, 11 million undocumented aliens are already Americans in my view.

Harry Reid Calls Bundy Supporters 'Domestic Terrorists'

Las Vegas Review Journal -- U.S. Sen. Harry Reid on Thursday called supporters of Bunkerville rancher Cliven Bundy “domestic terrorists” because they defended him against a Bureau of Land Management cattle roundup with guns and put their children in harm’s way.

“They’re nothing more than domestic terrorists,” Reid said during an appearance at a Las Vegas Review-Journal “Hashtags & Headlines” event at the Paris. “I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”

The BLM shut down its weeklong roundup of Bundy’s cattle Saturday after an armed confrontation with militia members who had traveled to Southern Nevada.[...]

“It is an issue we cannot let go, just walk away from,” Reid said.

“There were hundreds, hundreds of people from around the country that came there,” Reid said. “They had sniper rifles in the freeway. They had weapons, automatic weapons. They had children lined up. They wanted to make sure they got hurt first … What if others tried the same thing?”
Blog author’s comments - And people wonder why Democrats want gun control. It is so they can call out their Federal gun toting goons and subject the citizens they disagree with to their tyranny. Harry Reid is a evil, dangerous little man. Who are Bundy supporters terrorizing, government agents, and politicians trying to make land deals?

I agree that Mr. Bundy is grazing approximately 500 cattle on federal land, but he has been doing this for decades. Why make a big deal about it now, especially by sending government agents with guns? I don’t believe we will ever receive the real story. Reid said "I repeat, what happened there was domestic terrorism." Based on the definition of 'terrorism' and the fact that the only deaths were those of Bundy's prized bulls and the only destruction was to the Bundy property, it's a logical conclusion that the BLM agents were the so-called terrorists.

Reid said this is an "issue we cannot let go, just walk away from." I believe him, he does not like to lose. It would be a good thing for the country if Harry Reid was the minority leader in the Senate after this years midterm elections.

Top Ten Questions To Ask A Liberal

Downtrend - by Brian Anderson -- To say that I don’t understand liberals would be an understatement. It’s not just that I disagree with them on everything; I can’t even comprehend where they are coming from. It’s inconceivable to me that a person could think the way a liberal does. In an effort to gain some insight into the liberal mind, I’ve compiled this list of questions I hope one of them can answer:

10. How many people should we let into this country? Liberals want amnesty for the 11-20 million illegal aliens currently living in America. Let’s say that happens, then what? Do we grant amnesty to the next 20 million illegals that come looking for a better life? There are over 7 billion people on the planet, most of which would certainly have a better life if they moved to the US. I’ll ask again: how many of these people should we let immigrate to our country?

9. How are rules that apply equally to everyone discriminatory and racist? Liberals say that everything from the justice system to education is racist. They whine that voting laws that apply to everyone equally are somehow discriminatory. Why? I have no idea. If everyone is playing by the same rules there is no disputing that the playing field is level.

8. How are rules that only apply to one group of people not discriminatory and racist? Affirmative Action set quotas for minorities in hiring and college admissions. Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper program gives funds and opportunities to people of color. There are literally hundreds of liberal programs available to minorities only. Do not disadvantaged white people deserve the same help?

7. Do you know what a pyramid scheme is? Wikipedia tells us: A pyramid scheme is an unsustainable business model that involves promising participants payment or services, primarily for enrolling other people into the scheme, rather than supplying any real investment or sale of products or services to the public. The people at the bottom of the pyramid do all of the paying and never reap any benefits. Sounds an awful lot like ObamaCare, doesn’t it? In the private sector a pyramid scheme is fraud but when the government does it it’s called progress.

6. Why is it okay to kill unborn children but wrong to kill convicted murderers? Liberals love abortion but hate the death penalty. Seems a little hypocritical since both involve the taking of a human life.

5. How does stagnating growth stimulate the economy? High taxes and needless regulations are two things liberal lawmakers can’t get enough of. They are also the two things that hurt business growth the most. I don’t know if the libs are aware of this, but businesses are those things that give people jobs. When people have jobs, they have money to spend. Our economy grows when more people have jobs and spend money. This is not my opinion; it’s a fact.

4. Does it make sense to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result? The social safety net, which includes welfare, food stamps, Medicaid, and a whole host of liberal entitlements, has failed in its stated goal to pull people out of poverty. Instead, these programs have had the opposite effect, creating generations of people that are utterly dependent on government handouts. If these programs don’t work, why should we continue them? Do liberals think that they’re bound to work eventually? Even worse, they want to expand these failed programs. Now that really is the definition of insanity.

3. How will punishing law-abiding people stop criminals from breaking the law? Every liberal gun control law either passed or proposed places arbitrary restrictions on law-abiding citizens. These laws don’t apply to criminals because, by their very nature, they don’t follow laws. If someone is going to commit a murder or assault, do you think they care if their weapon of choice isn’t compliant to the local ordinance? No one has ever said, “I was going to rob that liquor store but the only gun I have holds more than seven rounds and that’s illegal in New York.”

2. How can you count to ten if you skip the number two? The first ten amendments of the US Constitution are known as the Bill Of Rights. These enumerated rights were laid down by our Founding Fathers because they felt each of them was essential to ensure we live in a free society. Liberals are enamored with all of them except the 2nd, which guarantees our right to keep and bear arms. They say all of the other amendments confer individual rights, yet claim the 2nd Amendment is a collective right that allows only the government to possess arms. Why would the Framers list 9 individual rights, and one government right? Liberals also don’t seem to understand that the 2nd Amendment protects all the others. Tyrants can’t take speech and voting rights away from an armed populace.

1. Why was George W. Bush a bad President but Barack Obama is a good one? To liberals, George W. Bush was the Devil incarnate. Their biggest beefs were the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the bank bailout, and Guantanamo Bay torture. When Obama took office he escalated the war in Afghanistan, gave even bigger bailouts, and after 5 years in office still hasn’t closed Guantanamo Bay. On top of that, Obama ignores the Constitution, spies on every single American, kills women and children with drone strikes, and has saddled the country with a health care law that will bankrupt the middle class and require an insurance company bailout of epic proportions. I’d say, even to liberals, Bush Jr. looks pretty good by comparison.
Blog author’s comments - Most liberals won’t have concrete answers to the above questions. Hence the complete failure of the policies they believe in and their ideology. They're not interested in facts, logic, or engaging in productive conversation, their objective is to silence everyone else with pre-approved one liner's like, "war on women!" "Racism," "white conservatives are ignorant," "Bush's fault" and "Republicans don't pay their fair share," just to name a few.

I have yet to see anyone who calls themselves a liberal provide any real solutions to the country's problems, yet they insist that they're right and place the blame for all that is wrong with the country on conservatives. Haven't the past five years proven them wrong? But, it's the loudest among us who receives the most attention, and with most of the mainstream media believing, backing and promoting the liberal ideas those of us who don’t agree with them have only one major network news organization and conservative talk radio to get out our message.

Hopefully the mess and destruction of our health care system and the numerous scandals by Obama and his administration with the Affordable Care Act, Benghazi, the IRS scandal and others, have changed some voters' minds about following the liberal politicians and the Democratic Party. We will know after the November election.

Democrat Senator Defends The Koch Brothers From Harry Reid's Attacks

Politico -- Sen. Joe Manchin on Thursday strongly defended the Koch brothers from attacks by fellow Democrats, saying the wealthy and politically active businessmen are taxpaying Americans who are creating jobs

. “People want jobs. You don’t beat up people. I mean, I don’t agree with their politics or philosophically, but, you know, they’re Americans, they’re doing— paying their taxes,” Manchin said on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends.”

“They’re not breaking the law. They’re providing jobs,” he added.

When asked whether Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s attacks on the Koch brothers “helps or hurts the cause for the country and the Congress,” the West Virginia senator said it’s people in the middle that need to be reached.

“If you’re trying to rally the base, the bases have already been rallied. The right and left bases have been rallied,” Manchin said. “It’s us in the middle that have to start making something happen here in Washington to move this country forward.”

Manchin, who also served as governor of West Virginia, said harsh rhetoric from either side does little to help the country.

“Right, wrong or indifferent, whether you like the politicians, or not. There’s people who don’t like the extreme Democrat politics or extreme Republican politics, we got to start being Americans again,” the senator said.

A spokesman for Koch Industries said Manchin’s comments likely reflect what others, on both side of the aisle, are thinking and that “it’s about time” somebody spoke out.

“My guess is that Sen. Manchin has expressed a point of view that a lot other senators — Democrats, Republicans — have probably wanted to say and haven’t,” Steve Lombardo said.

A request for comment from Reid’s office was not immediately returned.
Blog author's comments - The reason Harry Reid and others members of the Obama administration are trashing the Koch brothers is that they are afraid of losing the Senate and the Koch brothers are supportive of the Republican Party and use their money to help the GOP.

As Senator Harry Reid angrily rants and raves about the Koch Brothers, much of America is bored from having heard this performance too many times. Sen. Manchin offered some much needed sanity with his comments as opposed to Reid. And it’s time that Democrats take a good, hard look at what has become of their agenda for the midterm elections. Rather than focusing on solutions for the country the dominant talking points in 2014 for the left concerns blaming others, covering up scandals and slandering GOP donors. But Reid never mentions the large amounts of money the Democrats have received from liberal George Soros for years.

Reid could not handle losing his job as the leader of the Democrat controlled Senate. And if the GOP should win control of the Senate and maintain control of the House Obama would be a lame duck president his last two years in office. So Reid will do and say whatever he feels is necessary hoping that the low-information voters will believe him and remember what he said when they go to the polls in this year's midterm elections.

House Conservatives Plot To Oust Boehner Next Year

National Journal -- Several dozen frustrated House conservatives are scheming to infiltrate the GOP leadership next year—possibly by forcing Speaker John Boehner to step aside immediately after November's midterm elections.

The conservatives' exasperation with leadership is well known. And now, in discreet dinners at the Capitol Hill Club and in winding, hypothetical-laced email chains, they're trying to figure out what to do about it. Some say it's enough to coalesce behind—and start whipping votes for—a single conservative leadership candidate. Others want to cut a deal with Majority Leader Eric Cantor: We'll back you for speaker if you promise to bring aboard a conservative lieutenant.

But there's a more audacious option on the table, according to conservatives involved in the deliberations. They say between 40 and 50 members have already committed verbally to electing a new speaker. If those numbers hold, organizers say, they could force Boehner to step aside as speaker in late November, when the incoming GOP conference meets for the first time, by showing him that he won't have the votes to be reelected in January.

The masterminds of this mutiny are trying to stay in the shadows for as long as possible to avoid putting a target on their backs. But one Republican said the "nucleus"of the rebellion can be found inside the House Liberty Caucus, of which he and his comrades are members. This is not surprising, considering that some of the key players in that group—Justin Amash of Michigan, Raul Labrador of Idaho, and Thomas Massie of Kentucky—were among the 12 Republicans who refused to back Boehner's reelection in January 2013.

Amash, chairman of the Liberty Caucus, warned at the time that there would be a "larger rebellion" down the road if Boehner's leadership team did not bring conservatives into the fold. Such an insurrection never materialized, however, as Boehner deftly navigated a series of challenges last year and wound up winning over some of the malcontents.

But conservatives, increasingly irritated with what they see as a cautious approach taken by their leadership, are now adamant that Boehner's tenure should expire with this Congress.

"There are no big ideas coming out of the conference. Our leadership expects to coast through this election by banking on everyone's hatred for Obamacare," said one Republican lawmaker who is organizing the rebellion. "There's nothing big being done. We're reshuffling chairs on the Titanic."

Blog author's comments - Yes, please replace John Boehner with someone who is against Obamacare, socialism, amnesty, the gay agenda and a plethora of other issues Boehner has failed us on. And don’t give the job to Eric Cantor, he would be the same as Boehner.

If the conservatives are serious about ousting John Boehner as Speaker I would nominate Trey Gowdy of South Carolina. From what I have heard and seen from Gowdy I believe he would make a good Speaker of the House. What I am wondering is why would someone who wants to rid the House of the Speaker let the media know about it? I am certainly ready to replace John Boehner, but I have doubts that it will happen.

'Vladimir Putin' Calls Sarah Palin On Tonight Show

USA Today -- Sarah Palin chose a perfect way to hype her new Amazing America series, which kicks off tonight on the Sportsman Channel.

While she didn't sit down for an interview, she showed off her comedic skills in a skit with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show.

In the sketch, Fallon, playing Putin, calls up Palin.

"I heard back in 2008, you predicted I would invade Ukraine. Is that true?"

"You betcha, Vlad," says Palin

She advises him to get his troops out of Ukraine and he says, "Whoa, hey Capt. Buzzkill."

They move on to talk March Madness, kids and grizzly bears.

"You shoot bear? I prefer hand-to-hand combat," says "Putin."

"Well, that's why everyone calls you such a strong leader," says Palin.

"I come from strong genes. President Obama, he comes from mom jeans!" he answers.

They go on to perform a Happy duet before winding up the call.

Blog author’s comments - I thought it was a humorous skit and Sarah Palin was good. She is also very good at making liberal heads explode. She has taken more than her share of abuse from the mainstream media. I have liked her since I met her at a fundraiser prior to the 2008 election. She is now so much more poised than prior to that election. Sarah Palin seemed to be the only one who wanted to win, John McCain ran a terrible campaign.

The liberal media had beat on George W. Bush for so long the majority of the voters were ready for a Democrat no matter who it was. And many thought they helped make history by electing the first black president. They knew nothing about Obama and now look at the shape we are in. He has compiled so much debt, had a scandal ridden presidency, and is taking down the best health care system in history. He also does not care for our Constitution. Barack Obama in my opinion is the worst president in the history of our country.

George Washington Wanted Obamacare, Pelosi Says

Daily Caller -- Democratic leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi emerged into the sunlight April 1 to applaud a rush of sign-ups for Obamacare, and immediately described it as the long-sought goal of Gen. George Washington and the nation’s Founding Fathers in 1787.

“It is really so heart warming for those of us who worked so hard [to make sure] many more people in our country would have access to healthcare,” she told reporters at the stakeout position just outside the West Wing portico.

“There are those critics, bumps in the road, but they’ve only been turbulence. They have not been an obstacle to the American people having healthier life that our founders wanted for them,” she said

Those founders wanted “life — a healthier life — liberty and the freedom to pursue their happiness, not [be] job-locked, but having benefits that having health-care policies that are portable, they could be self-employed, be a photographer — they could start their own business, they could change jobs, they could reach their aspirations,” she declared.

“And isn’t that a wonderful thing for a society and for an economy?” she added.

In contrast, the GOP’s House leader, Speaker John Boehner, called for the law’s repeal.

“The president’s health care law continues to wreak havoc on American families, small businesses and our economy, and as I’ve said many times, the problem was never just about the website – it’s the whole law,” he said in a March 31 statement.

“Millions of Americans are seeing their premiums rise, not the lower prices the president promised. Many small businesses are afraid to hire new workers, instead cutting hours and dropping health coverage for existing employees. Many Americans can no longer see their family doctor, despite the pledge no one would lose access to their physician. Seniors are feeling the impact, losing their Medicare Advantage plans the president promised they could keep. And taxpayers are being forced to pick up an unaffordable tab,” he said.
Blog author’s comments - That fact that Pelosi can make these totally stupid statements and not have the media rolling on the ground laughing in her face should prove to the people that the liberal media is definitely an arm of the Democratic Party. I doubt that the founding fathers would have given much thought to anything she had to say.

If the news about Obamacare being so great was accurate, Obama wouldn't be delaying the big parts of the Obamacare bill until after the next two elections. If it's so wonderful, and if there's so much love for it, and if the support for Obamacare's growing so dramatically, why does the Obama administration have to keep delaying the full implementation?
