Breitbart -- In a portion of an interview conducted with Seth Davis of Campus Insiders, former NBA great Charles Barkley discussed his remarks on Ferguson, MO and the hazards of the destructive behavior regarding the Ferguson grand jury aftermath had on the African-American community.
Barkley reiterated his point that nothing positive comes from looting and rioting black businesses. However, he said of his critics that attacked him for being outspoken on this possibly have unrealized hidden agendas.
“Listen, nothing positive can come when you’re looting and rioting your own businesses,” Barkley said. “That’s not positive. It’s not constructive. It’s self-defeating. I can sympathize. I understand we had some tragedy in our community. But burning down our own buildings, looting our own businesses – that doesn’t help anybody. And that just makes the noise worse. You know, instead of getting to the problem and the issue, I think one of the reasons people come to me is they know I’m not afraid of any subject and that comes with a price at times. But I never have a hidden agenda. I’m going to honest and fair.”
“You know, most of the people on television and radio have a hidden agenda,” he continued. “But I think the general public is too stupid to understand that. Everyone says Charles is going to be brutally honest and straightforward – until they say I disagree with their side of the equation. You can’t have your cake and eat it, too.”
Charles Barkley Addresses His Ferguson Comments
Blog author's comments - It's good to hear Charles Barkley speak the truth about many of the 'African-Americans'. And because he is a black man he is not supposed to say what he does concerning the blacks' crime of looting and violent protests. I have no doubt that Barkley is talking about the liberal media when he says “You know, most of the people on television and radio have a hidden agenda";-- I am sure he has made some enemies with the liberal media and in the black communities with what he says during this interview. The majority of blacks who are just getting by financially or are on the government dole listen to Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and many in the Democratic Party because what they say give the blacks an excuse for their problems and actions.
The blacks have voted for the Democrats for decades and what good has it done them? What has the first black president Obama done for them? I say absolutely nothing. If anything, many of the blacks since Obama has been president are in worse shape now than ever. Obama has also created more racists of both the black and white citizens of America. The government is not going to make the blacks successful, only they can do it for themselves. It would also help if they listened to and thought about what Barkley is saying that may help some of them.
Breitbart -- White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer conceded that he fears a President Ted Cruz will overturn President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty, perhaps signaling that Cruz represents the greatest threat to the progressive left.
“Our first 100 days we spent a lot of time signing executive orders undoing what [President George W.] Bush did, and I would like not to be sitting on a beach somewhere reading about President [Ted] Cruz doing that to us, so it’s very important to us,” Pfeiffer told the Wall Street Journal on Friday.
Earlier in the day, Pfeiffer declared that Obama’s executive amnesty was one of the reasons that made 2014 a “year of great progress” for the “progressive agenda.” He told the Journal that from the “perspective of advancing our agenda through our pen and our phone, this has been a tremendously successful year.”
Cruz, a potential 2016 heavyweight, would run as a bold conservative. And the conservative Texas Senator has not been ambivalent in the least about wanting to repeal Obamacare and reverse Obama’s executive amnesty.
Cruz has also, with his actions, made it clear that he isn’t the type of politician who campaigns as a conservative and then turns his back on the base as soon as he is elected. That, more than anything, is why the bipartisan permanent political class and Washington insiders despise him.
Despite his fears, though, Pfeiffer, according to the Journal, ultimately “predicted Obama’s administrative actions on immigration and Cuba will stand no matter who sits in the White House in 2017.”
Blog author's comments - So, according to White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer the Democrats fear Ted Cruz. Also, the Republican establishment (moderate Republicans or RINO's) do not like him. He must be doing something right. This is because Ted Cruz is the only person challenging what is happening under the Obama presidency. Too bad we don't have more Republican Party elected officials who think like Cruz and are not afraid to speak the truth concerning what Obama has done to the country. I do believe if Ted Cruz were the Republican nominee in 2016 he could defeat whoever the Democrats nominate.
The biggest obstacle to a Ted Cruz presidency is the Republican establishment because he is much too conservative for them and he would not receive their support. In my opinion Ted Cruz is the best the Republican Party has to offer. Barack Obama embodies the worst of America, he is not just a bad president, he is a bad man. I support Ted Cruz for 2016, it is the only way to attempt to turn the country around and stop what is happening and will continue to happen during Obama's time in office.
Truth Revolt -- In an interview with AP, soon-to-be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) refused to commit to defunding President Obama’s executive action on immigration, which the Republican leadership has roundly condemned.
Buried in the AP piece are McConnell’s non-committal comments on the Republican plan of action on immigration come January when the new fully-Republican-controlled Congress convenes. Here’s the passage:
"On immigration, McConnell stopped short of pledging that Congress would block Obama's recent executive actions curbing deportations for millions of people who are in the United States illegally.
Republicans strongly oppose Obama's move and are gearing up for a fight on the issue in February, when money runs out for the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees immigration matters. But the GOP's options appear limited, and "exactly how the February episode unfolds I couldn't tell you at this point," McConnell said.
McConnell moved on to discussing the positive changes coming with the new Senate, promising a more open legislative process than that overseen by outgoing Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and denying that the presence of presidential hopefuls, like Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), would negatively affect the Senate’s operation.
"I think the Senate can survive presidential ambition," he said, adding, "Serious adults are in charge here [...] We're going to change the Senate's behavior, and hopefully change the country in the process."
Blog author's comments - McConnell made lots of promises to the voters in Kentucky about putting the brakes on the rogue Obama regime. The voters agreed to return him back to the Senate. But now McConnell seems to have a convenient case of amnesia. It appears impossible to find anyone in the Republican leadership in either the House or the Senate with any backbone at all. John Boehner, the Speaker of the House, is just as bad as McConnell. I really don't see anything changing. Obama will continue to use his 'executive orders' to pass whatever he wants to and has two more years to continue his agenda.
Obama is fundamentally changing America into a socialist impoverished disaster, and I don't see anyone in the Republican leadership with any intent to stop him. The only man in the Senate who will stand up and speak for what is right is Ted Cruz (R-TX). Tea Party conservative Republicans are the only ones worthy of support. Until the GOP is rid of McConnell, Boehner and many others like them the Democrats will continue to tear America down while enlarging the government. This was Obama's intent when he assumed the office of President and he is accomplishing much of what he would like to do.
WSJ -- Most Americans don’t object to the CIA’s interrogation techniques that some call torture, according to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.
After being told the CIA used “harsh interrogation practices on suspected terrorists,” 51% of those surveyed said the practices were “acceptable under the circumstances.” Only 28% said the interrogations were wrong and 20% said they didn’t have an opinion.
President Barack Obama ended the practice, known legally as “enhanced interrogation”, early in his White House tenure. But 45% of those polled said the CIA should continue to use them, while just 28% said they are wrong and should not be used.
The poll question didn’t use the word “torture” when it asked about the CIA’s detention and interrogation program, which relied on methods including sleep deprivation and waterboarding to try to get overseas terror suspects to share information while in U.S. custody.
The poll data is evidence that there is little political risk for Republicans who opposed last week’s release of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on post-9/11 CIA interrogation techniques. Even with graphic descriptions of how detainees were treated becoming public for the first time, most people said the practices were justified in the name of stopping terror plots.
Indeed the Pew Research Center found a similar answer recently. Its poll showed 58% believe the practice provided intelligence that prevented terror attacks – even though the Senate’s report states the opposite.
With Senate Republicans opposing the Senate report’s release and former Vice President Dick Cheney touting the program, a political split on the torture report is inevitable. Four in five Republicans say the CIA’s practices were acceptable, but Democrats aren’t all opposed: 44% say the CIA went too far after 9/11, but 32% say it was acceptable. That may explain why Sen. Mark Udall (D., Colo.), one of the CIA’s leading Capitol Hill antagonists, never seriously used the issue in his failed re-election campaign.
Blog author's comments - As the poll shows not everyone wants to victimize the 9/11 terrorists - in fact, few people outside the left do. The Democrats' Senate report was done for purely political reasons. "After being told the CIA used “harsh interrogation practices on suspected terrorists,” 51% of those surveyed said the practices were “acceptable under the circumstances.” Only 28% said the interrogations were wrong and 20% said they didn’t have an opinion." The 20% are the low-information people who receive their news from ABC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC and believe what they hear and see.
If Obama's presidency has showed us anything it's that he doesn't give a damn what Americans want or think. I suppose the Democrats believe that the American people want terrorists treated without any harm to them, especially when they may know of plans for more attacks on civilian population centers. I would not have cared if the CIA used a blow torch on them, when I remember our fellow Americans jumping from the World Trade Center buildings after the attack. Whenever I picture that, water boarding is child's play. Former Vice President Dick Cheney said the CIA torture report is 'full of crap'. I respect him and believe him. When asked about the interrogation techniques Cheney said, "I would do it again in a minute."
Cheney On Interrogation: "I Would Do It Again In A Minute"
Pew Research -- For the first time in more than two decades of Pew Research Center surveys, there is more support for gun rights than gun control. Currently, 52% say it is more important to protect the right of Americans to own guns, while 46% say it is more important to control gun ownership.
Support for gun rights has edged up from earlier this year, and marks a substantial shift in attitudes since shortly after the Newtown school shootings, which occurred two years ago this Sunday.
The balance of opinion favored gun control in the immediate aftermath of the Newtown tragedy in December 2012, and again a month later. Since January 2013, support for gun rights has increased seven percentage points – from 45% to 52% — while the share prioritizing gun control has fallen five points (from 51% to 46%).
The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center, conducted Dec. 3-7 among 1,507 adults, also finds a shift in attitudes about whether gun ownership in this country does more to protect people or put people’s safety at risk. Nearly six-in-ten Americans (57%) say gun ownership does more to protect people from becoming victims of crime, while 38% say it does more to endanger personal safety.
Entire column...Blog author's comments -
This is good news. But yet those on the national socialist left still want to deprive the law-abiding citizens of their Second Amendment rights and they will not stop in their attempt to do so. Liberal elitists' plans to destroy the gun industry are becoming its best promoters. The more the progressives foment the hate and division in this country the more people feel they need guns to protect themselves.
With much of law enforcement hamstrung by political correctness and sensitivity awareness, the meaning of the Second Amendment will become clear for many more. Obama with his previous push to pass more gun control has been a good sales person for the gun stores and I fully expect he will again try to pass gun control laws even if he has to do so by 'executive order'. But he and the gun control fanatics never address gun control for the criminal element in our country. The criminals don't care how many gun control laws exist, more gun control only helps them.
Breitbart -- President Barack Obama hopes that his grandchildren are not subjected to "constant" racial biases that will make them feel as if America is not their home.
In an extensive interview with BET about race relations, policing, Eric Garner, and Ferguson, the country's first black president said he hopes America can make more progress on race relations because, "I want my grandsons to be treated like anybody else's grandsons."
"I don't want them to be subjected to the kind of constant bias that makes them feel as if this is not their home," Obama said.
Obama also said he hoped that his grandchildren feel safe in their neighborhoods and do not lose trust in institutions that are in place "to supposedly serve and protect them" because of bad experiences with police officers.
Blog author's comments -This is coming from a president who has set back race relations at least 50 years. In 2008 he was going to be the great uniter of all people. Given that whites have been on the receiving end of racism since Obama took office, it is unlikely his grandchildren will be 'subjected to constant discrimination.’ Race relations were not what they should be, but now there is an awful lot of hate going around in both directions, with help from Obama and the AG Eric Holder. These two have practically destroyed race relations in this country.
Truth Revolt -- Appearing on NBC's Meet the Press Sunday, Al Sharpton centered his focus on the black community and their economic problem, saying if black men are to take care of their families like they are always asked, they need training and jobs.
Sitting with Garner's widow, Chuck Todd mentioned that Mr. Garner had to sell single cigarettes to survive and asked Sharpton his plan to address this "economic hopelessness" in the black community.
"We aggressively -- the National Action Network and the civil rights community -- supported a jobs bill, support infrastructure development. Because when we go and challenge men in our community to say, ‘You’ve got to stand up and you've got to be responsible’ — they need jobs. They need training."
Sharpton finds hypocrisy in Congress killing a jobs bill and then expecting black men to care for their families:
"So at one hand, we can't expand the public sector for jobs. At another hand, they say, well, we're being harassed and treated differently by law enforcement. So we've got to strike a balance that is not in our power to do, which is why we're going at the Congress to make that possible."
You can't kill a jobs bill and infrastructure and then tell men to take care of their families. You can't have it both ways.
Blog author's comments - It appears that quite a few black men are not interested in working and taking care of a family. Why is Sharpton looking at public sector jobs, does he want the government to give the black men jobs? At least 7 of 10 black children are born to single mothers. Welfare and other government handouts, funded by the tax payers, are caring for the mothers and their children. There may be men living with the single mothers, but the majority of them are not employed. There are many black families who are doing well, but so many black mothers and single parent children are struggling.
The black men should have provided their own training by at least completing high school, but Sharpton and other race baiters like him put the blame for what has and is happening in so many black communities on others. Its people like Sharpton who ensure the problems in the black communities are never resolved because they are providing an excuse for so many black men. If a black man doesn't take care of his family, he's a victim. He needs the people in Washington to fix things for him. That is why so many blacks will never rise above where they are today. Many blacks thought Obama was their savior, but in my opinion he has only made the problems worse.

Blog author's comments - In both cases the grand juries ruled in favor of the police. Also, Brown and Garner committed unlawful acts and when the police tried to arrest them they fought with the officers. When the police are trying to arrest you, if you fight back, things can go wrong. And they went very wrong for Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Now we have President Barack Obama, Attorney General Eric Holder, and most Democrat lawmakers along with the liberals, blacks and leftist media railing against what they are calling the racist police who were attempting to do their jobs.
Truth Revolt -- Former NBA great and TV analyst Charles Barkley has doubled-down on his previous remarks about the Ferguson rioters. In an interview with CNN Barkley said, "We as black people, we got a lot of crooks."
"There's a reason they racially profile us at times," he told CNN. "Sometimes it's wrong, sometimes its right."
Barkley recently called the rioters in Ferguson "scumbags" and he defended the acquittal of George Zimmermann in the killing of Trayvon Martin.
Host Brooke Baldwin then challenged Barkley on the recent choke-hold death of Eric Garner in New York City and whether the altercation rises to the level of homicide. Barkley responded that what he saw on the video tape does not look like murder. "Well, I think the cops are trying to arrest him and they got a little aggressive. I think excessive force, uh, you know, or something like that, but to go right to 'murder'... Look, when the cops are trying to arrest you, if you fight back, things go wrong."
"Cops are awesome," he said.
Blog author's comments - Charles Barkley calls it as it is, to the chagrin of not only blacks but those of the toxic, left-wing media. Here is a guy who's not fearful of standing up to those bent on causing more divisiveness with blatant disregard for the truth. Charles, be vigilant, I'm sure the IRS and other Fed agencies will be receiving a memo from the White House.
If the black community truly cared about stopping what they perceive as an epidemic of police killing innocent young black men, a situation completely unsupported by facts, their first step would be to train the black men how to properly respond to a police officer's request. Shut-up, and do what you are told. At the same time, black leaders could be working with police to address how encounters with innocent black men could be improved.
They don't do this because they don't actually care about saving lives. They only care about getting to exploit for their own gain any situation where a black person is injured by a white person. Does anyone believe that if the police officer who shot Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO after he was attacked by Brown was a black officer there would have been the protests and looting and burning of businesses in Ferguson and protests in many other states?
There are blacks who do teach their children to respect police officers, how to properly respond to a police officer's requests, and to not commit crimes, those people's children don't end up dead.

13. The dark side of illegal immigration: Nearly one million sex crimes are committed by illegal immigrants in the United States!
Total cost a whopping $538.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR! Blog author's comments -What Obama has done is create the eventual ruination of America. Obama is not finished with his executive orders and he has two more years in office to continue to destroy our country.
The Blaze -- After the Indianapolis Star published a political cartoon on Friday that was decidedly against President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration reform, the paper’s executive editor Jeff Taylor said many readers were offended and called it “racist.”
So on Saturday the Star pulled the political cartoon by Gary Varvel. Taylor said Varvel “did not intend to be racially insensitive in his attempt to express his strong views” about the issue but added that ”we erred in publishing it.”
More from Taylor’s column in the Star:
The cartoon depicted an immigrant family climbing through a window of a white family’s home as Thanksgiving dinner was served. I was uncomfortable with the depiction when I saw it after it was posted. We initially decided to leave the cartoon posted to allow readers to comment and because material can never truly be eliminated once it is circulating on the web. But we are removing the cartoon from the opinion section of our website, as well as an earlier version posted on Facebook that showed one character with a mustache.
The second version of the cartoon showed the character without a mustache, but every other element appeared the same as the first version.
“This action is not a comment on the issue of illegal immigration or a statement about Gary’s right to express his opinions strongly,” Taylor continued. “We encourage and support diverse opinion.[...]
More from Taylor:
Cartoons are seldom intended to be read literally. And Gary did not intend this one to be viewed that way. He intended to illustrate the view of many conservatives and others that the president’s order will encourage more people to pour into the country illegally.
The illegal immigration issue evokes strong opinions and emotions. And it’s important to encourage a vigorous public debate on issues of this magnitude, but with respectful discourse. That is what we believe at IndyStar and that is what we will continue to do – to publish views from all sides as we explore the important issues that will define the future of our nation, state and city.
Entire column...Blog author's comments - The cartoon was accurate and timely. It expresses the opinion of a great many people but because it doesn't genuflect at the altar of holy diversity the weak executive editor Jeff Taylor does not want to upset anyone. The truth is inherently racist, if you're a progressive. You must inoculate the public from it by shutting down any criticism. I just wonder how many complaints the paper had. We have to stop this recent culture of people telling us they're offended and expecting us to give a damn.
If the progressives maintain their control of the media, academia and government, this country will go down the drain only slightly behind the UK. What Obama has created is millions more people living off the working legal citizens. Obama does not care if he has done damage to the country, he has helped the Democratic Party with a continuous supply of Democrat voters as soon as the illegals are given citizenship and that will happen.
What about the majority of readers of that newspaper who were offended by the pulling of the cartoon? I guess they don't count these days. The cartoonist Varvel hit the nail squarely on the head with his cartoon. As more illegals flood across our borders the crime rate will increase because of the lawless Obama's executive order. And the borders will remain open allowing many more illegals to come in. Within the not to distant future the Republican Party will never elect a president. This is the goal of Obama the Democrats and all liberals.
Blog author's comments - This is only the beginning, he has two more years to 'fundamentally transform' the United States. And this was his goal when he ran for president. Obama and his administration have been ignoring the Constitution since he has been in office.
Jay Carney Admits Obama Flip-Flopped On Immigration Actions
Truth Revolt -- Writing for The New York Times, Michael Shear proposes that President Obama is "poised to ignore stark warnings that executive action on immigration would amount to 'violating our laws' and would be 'very difficult to defend legally.'"
Warnings, Shear notes, that did not come from the GOP but "from Mr. Obama himself."
Shear took a walk through memory lane exposing all the times the president has declared that he would be "ignoring the law" if he acted alone in granting amnesty to illegal immigrants:
•Telemundo, September 2013 — “If we start broadening [the protections given to Dreamers], then essentially I’ll be ignoring the law in a way that I think would be very difficult to defend legally. So that’s not an option.” •Google Hangout, February 2013 — After an activist asked Obama to keep families from being "broken apart" -- “This is something that I have struggled with throughout my presidency. The problem is, is that I’m the president of the United States, I’m not the emperor of the United States. My job is to execute laws that are passed.” •Immigration speech San Francisco, November 2013 — To a protester yelling, "Stop deportations!" -- “The easy way out is to try to yell and pretend like I can do something by violating our laws and what I’m proposing is the harder path [only Congress has the authority].” •Town Hall meeting, March 2011 — The nation's laws are clear and "for me to simply, through executive order, ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as president.”
The White House began twisting these words on Monday, Shear points out, to mean something different now that the president is proposing executive amnesty. They are calling it "a change in emphasis, not a change in opinion." Shear writes:
"They said Mr. Obama’s previous comments emphasized the limits of his authority because at the time he was actively making the case for Congress to pass an immigration overhaul. Now, he emphasizes his ability to act."
After meeting with Attorney General Eric Holder for some "legal advice" on his limitations, Shear quotes Obama's statement from Sunday: “I would be derelict in my duties if I did not try to improve the system that everybody acknowledges is broken."
Blog author's comments - What Obama is supposedly going to do as early as this Thursday, November 20, 2014 is to use 'executive action' on immigration to grant amnesty to over 5 million illegal immigrants. If he does this it is against the law, the Constitution and not within his power to do. A president signs bills that are proposed to him by Congress, a President does not write bills and put them into law. The only issue that Obama cares about is to ensure the Democratic Party's political dominance. The only way to do that is importing more democratic voters. Many people say that the system is broken. But the majority of citizens believe our immigration laws are not broken, they will work if the laws as written are enforced.
I have seen the liberal talking heads of the mainstream media say "well Ronald Regan did the same thing with executive action.” This is not true; Regan signed an act of Congress, 'The Immigration Reform and Control Act' which reformed United States immigration law. And Reagan admitted that it was his greatest mistake because he trusted that Democrats would help secure the border after the bill was passed and they, of course, did not. Obama is a lawless president and no doubt the worst and most corrupt in the history of the United States.
Watch Obama Make The Case Against Executive Amnesty
Truth Revolt -- Law Street Media has released their annual list of the highest crime cities in America and there's a common denominator that runs through the list. Each and every city has a Democrat mayor except the number 10 city which has a non-partisan election, (but let's face it, it's Kansas City so he's probably a Dem too.)
The cities with populations over 200,000 ranked as the most dangerous are:
1. Detroit, MI - Mayor Mike Duggan - DEMOCRAT
2. Oakland, CA - Mayor Jean Quan - DEMOCRAT
3. Memphis, TN - Mayor A C Wharton - DEMOCRAT
4. St. Louis, MO - Mayor Francis G. Slay - DEMOCRAT
5. Cleveland, OH - Mayor Frank G. Jackson - DEMOCRAT
6. Baltimore, MD - Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake - DEMOCRAT
7. Milwaukee, WI - Mayor Tom Barrett - DEMOCRAT
8. Birmingham, AL - Mayor William A. Bell - DEMOCRAT
9. Newark, NJ - Mayor Ras Baraka - DEMOCRAT
10. Kansas City, MO - Mayor Sly James - Independent (but probably a DEMOCRAT)
Keep up the great work, Democrats. Doing a helluva job. Also, great job voting for one-party rule all you unions and inner-city residents. How's that working out for you?
Blog author's comments - This is no surprise to me, whatever the Democrats are in charge of usually goes bad. The reason in this case is that the mayors were elected by a primarily Democrat voting base. Many of these Democrat voters, but certainly not all, are under achievers and minorities and will vote for the people who will promise them help from the government.
Many of the people in these cities allow the government to care for them and this becomes their way of life. With a low paying job or no job at all they will turn to crime in an attempt to supplement their income. The Democrat city leaders will tie the hands of law enforcement and encourage the welfare life. Within the minority communities a large majority of children are born without a father to provide for them and many of the fatherless children are likely to turn to a life of crime and end up in prison. So this becomes a continuous cycle which brings the city down and increases more crime.
