MSNBC Caught Doctoring Clip From Romney/Ryan Rally

Townhall -- This breaking story comes straight from The Blaze

A clip from a recent Romney/Ryan rally has recently been played over and over at MSNBC highlighting what appears to be an embarrassing moment on the campaign trail for Governor Romney. Originally aired on Wednesday's "Morning Joe," the clip shows Paul Ryan introducing Romney as the MSNBC-added text appears on the screen proclaiming that the crowd is shouting "Ryan!" Romney gets the mic and asks the crowd to say "Romney/Ryan!" Joe Scarborough covers his face and grumbles out the words, "Sweet Jesus."[...]

During Thursday‘s edition of TheBlaze TV’s "Pat & Stu" one caller gives her account of the campaign rally.

“The crowd was yelling,” caller Sherry recounts, “the crowd was screaming ‘Romney! Romney!’ and Romney, being the gentleman [he is], we can‘t get in his head because he’s so stinking nice, he stopped us to add ‘Romney-Ryan.’”

I stitched together the MSNBC clip and the clip of The Blaze caller with Pat and Stu's reaction to her claim--and their reaction to the rally footage as they play it again without the MSNBC-added text. I also stitched together the original Romney/Ryan clip that I pulled from C-SPAN.

What appears to be an unpopular Romney seeking appreciation and attention from a Paul Ryan-infatuated audience is really a man who is generously deflecting attention away from himself onto his VP nominee.

Blog author's comments - This may be considered mild after we see what will come from both the White House and the liberal mainstream media in October. No low will be too low.

MSNBC and many other networks want the same thing, an Obama win no matter what has to be done to achieve it. And they refer to themselves as journalists.

We hear lies from Obama and his administration on a daily basis and the MSM covers for them to hide the truth from the voters.

I am hopeful that the majority of Americans have had enough of Obama and what he has done and will remove him from office. For the good of the country he and his administration have got to go.

Obama Campaign: Obama May Lose Debates - He's Busy Being President

ABC News -- BOWLING GREEN, OH — President Obama will head to Henderson, Nev., on Sunday for three days of debate prep behind closed doors, ABC News has learned. While he is there he will also hold one grassroots rally and likely make some unscheduled local stops in the evening, a campaign official said.

Meanwhile, less than a week before Obama and GOP nominee Mitt Romney face-off in Denver, the debate expectations game is in full swing.

Team Obama is laying it on heavy that the president may be the less-prepared candidate because of the demands of his office.

“The President will have a little bit of time to review and practice before the debates, but he has had to balance the management of world events, governing, time out campaigning and will have less time than we anticipated to sharpen and cut down his tendency to give long, substantive answers,” Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki told ABC News.[...]

Obama campaign officials are even putting a spin on the debates as a potential “reset” moment for the race, claiming they won’t be surprised if Romney gets a bounce “just by being on the same stage as the incumbent.”

One official, lowering the expectations bar even further for Obama, went so far as to note to ABC News that five out of the last six presidential challengers were judged to have won the first debate.

Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kirsten Kukowski countered what she called the Democrats’ spin, calling the notion that the president will not be ready for the debates “ridiculous.”

Blog author's comments - With the liberal moderators running the debates, is there any chance that Obama will know the questions before the debate even begins? “The President will have a little bit of time to review and practice before the debates, but he has had to balance the management of world events, governing." Obama's management of world events and governing - when?

He is a full time campaigner, raising money and attending parties. He and his administration are so accomplished at making excuses that they prepare them before the debates. The November election is the most important in my lifetime. If Obama does win a second term the country may never recover.

Mitt Romney to George Stephanopoulos: “I think the challenge that I’ll have in the debate is that the president tends to, how shall I say it, to say things that aren’t true,” Romney said. “I’ve looked at prior debates. And in that kind of case, it’s difficult to say, ‘Well, am I going to spend my time correcting things that aren’t quite accurate? Or am I going to spend my time talking about the things I want to talk about?”

Romney said the most important numbers in this election are 23, 47 and 16: ”23 million Americans out of work or underemployed, 47 million people on food stamps, $16 trillion in debt. And now the Federal Reserve, it says, “Look this economy is not going well" he said.

Obama Brushes Off Israeli Pressure Over Iran

Washington AFP -- President Barack Obama likened Israeli pressure on him to draw a line in the sand over Iran's nuclear ambitions as noise he tries to ignore, according to remarks aired Sunday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently urged the United States to establish what he called a "red line" regarding Tehran's nuclear program beyond which the United States would be compelled to act.

Iran insists its uranium-enrichment activities are for civilian energy-producing purposes, but the West fears it is for building nuclear weapons.

Israel is seen as pushing a much more hardline approach that would include military action, while Washington instead prefers to let diplomacy and sanctions dissuade Iran from building the bomb.

Obama, interviewed for Sunday's edition of "60 Minutes" on broadcaster CBS, said he understands and agrees with Netanyahu's insistence that Iran not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons as this would threaten both countries, the world in general, and kick off an arms race.

But Obama added: "When it comes to our national security decisions -- any pressure that I feel is simply to do what's right for the American people. And I am going to block out -- any noise that's out there."

Tensions have been running high between the United States and Israeli leader, and they will not hold a face-to-face meeting this week at the UN General Assembly in New York. The White House has cited scheduling problems.

Obama's contender for the presidency, Republican Mitt Romney, said this was no way to treat an ally.

The decision not to meet with Netanyahu, he said, also in an interview with "60 minutes", "is a mistake and sends a message throughout the Middle East that somehow we distance ourselves from our friends and I think the exact opposite approach is what's necessary."

Blog author's comments - "President Barack Obama likened Israeli pressure on him to draw a line in the sand over Iran's nuclear ambitions as noise he tries to ignore." I assume that Obama is basing his estimates on when Iran will have its first nuclear weapon off of reports from the same intelligence agencies that thought the security arrangements in Cairo and Benghazi were okay.

"Washington instead prefers to let diplomacy and sanctions dissuade Iran from building the bomb." If this is their tactic why aren't they using tougher sanctions against Iran? I don't believe he wants any change at all in the status quo with Iran because of the coming election. He wants things to remain the same and is more than willing to ignore everything that tells him otherwise and relegate it to the "noise" category.

Also, Barack Obama pushed to oust the dictators in both Libya and Egypt and the Muslim Brotherhood is on the rise, how has that helped the U.S. and Israel?

Romney's Tax Rate Equal to What Obama Paid Last Year

Weekly Standard -- According to a statement released by the Romney campaign that summarizes the rate of taxes the Republican presidential nominee paid between 1990 and 2009, the rate at which Mitt Romney paid taxes is approximately equal to what President Barack Obama paid last year.

"Over the entire 20-year period, the average annual effective federal tax rate was 20.20%," the Romney campaign states, based on a summary of Romney's taxes from the firm Price Waterhouse Cooper.

President Obama's tax rate in 2011 was only marginally higher, at 20.5 percent.

The president and first lady reported a joint adjusted gross income of $789,674 last year and paid $162,074 in federal taxes, or about 20.5%, according to the tax return released Friday by the White House. That income keeps the Obamas in the top 1% of taxpayers," the Los Angles Times reported earlier this year.

Blog author's comments - Mitt Romney released his 2011 tax returns yesterday. He paid $1.9 million in taxes. What did not make many of the news reports is that the Romneys gave just over $4 million to charity - 30% of their income. Barack Obama "The Great Redistributor" donated just 1-5% to charity before running for president.

What's The Chance Harry Reid Will Apologize For His Lies About Mitt Romney?

There he goes again: Reid says Romney might not pay any income tax

Washington Examiner -- Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., revived his suggestion that Mitt Romney has avoided paying income taxes in recent years.

“For all we know, Mitt Romney could be one of those who have paid no federal income tax,” Reid said on the Senate Floor this morning. “Thousands of families making more than a million dollars a year pay nothing in federal income taxes. Is Mitt Romney among those?”

Romney’s 2010 tax return shows that he paid an effective income tax rate of 13.9 percent. Romney says he’s never paid less than 13 percent in taxes.

But Reid, who was speaking apropos of Romney’s remarks about the “47 percent of Americans” who pay no income tax but receive government benefits, never misses an opportunity to accuse Romney of avoiding taxes.

The Nevada Democrat has claimed in recent months to have an anonymous source who told him that Romney paid no taxes for a decade. When pressed to provide evidence for that accusation, Reid grew irritated with the reporters who questioned him.

Blog author's comments - Harry Reid will continue this game about Romney’s taxes until the November election. This is yet another reason the Republicans need to win control of the remove the power from this deceitful little man. How do we know that Harry Reid is not a member of the KKK? See how that works Harry?

Reid's strategy is if he repeats this untruth about Romney often enough, many non-thinkers will believe him and vote for Obama. What else do the Democrats have? They cannot run on their record for the past four years.

Allen West - On U.S. UN Ambassador Susan Rice and Embassy Attacks

Real Clear Politics -- Rep. ALLEN WEST (R-Fla.) on FOX News' Justice with Judge Jeanine Sunday night: Well, it's very simple. When I listened to the UN ambassador Susan Rice today several words came to mind: asinine, naive, inept, incompetent and borderline ignorant. Because when you understand that the Egyptian government, their intelligence services, put out a letter talking about the potential threat of an attack, uprisings, about a week before this. It was even printed in the Jerusalem Post on 9/11.

And anyhow, I can tell you Judge, being in the combat zones several times after 9/11, we were always on a higher state of security and alertness on 9/11. It should have been the exact same thing here. And for Susan Rice to say this was not a well coordinated attack -- first of all, I have to ask her what is her line of expertise in understanding what a well coordinated attack is because this was not happenstance, it was not coincidence. It was well planned, well coordinated and the president there in Libya confirms that.
Blog author's comments - Thank you Allen West. “Asinine, naive, inept, incompetent and borderline ignorant,” this sounds like job qualifications to work in the Obama Administration. I wish someone would have asked Ms. Rice about the upcoming film concerning the killing of Osama bin Laden. I wonder if this will also incite the terrorists in the Middle East.

Anyone who can't see that this administration is absolutely unqualified hopefully will be unable to find a voting booth in November. U.S. foreign policy, which includes national security, is disintegrating under the Obama administration.

UN Ambassador Susan Rice: Libya Embassy Attack By Extremists Was Spontaneous

Via: Fox News

An intelligence source on the ground in Libya told Fox News that there was no demonstration outside the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi prior to last week's attack -- challenging the Obama administration's claims that the assault grew out of a "spontaneous" protest against an anti-Islam film.

"There was no protest and the attacks were not spontaneous," the source said, adding the attack "was planned and had nothing to do with the movie."

The source said the assault came with no warning at about 9:35 p.m. local time, and included fire from more than two locations. The assault included RPG's and mortar fire, the source said, and consisted of two waves.

The account that the attack started suddenly backs up claims by a purported Libyan security guard who told McClatchy Newspapers late last week that the area was quiet before the attack.

"There wasn't a single ant outside," the unnamed guard, who was being treated in a hospital, said in the interview.

It's a Miracle! - Barack Obama By Bill Whittle

Blog author's comments - I was aware of most of this material concerning President Barack Obama but it may be news to many people. But, many will choose to ignore it.

I do realize that this information will not change the minds of those on the far left who will again vote for Obama in November, even though he has shown to those who have been paying attention that he has been an unqualified, incompetent failure during his first and hopefully only term.

What I do believe is that if he remains the president for four more years America may never recover from the damage he will continue to do.

Hillary Clinton - "Islam Respects the Fundamental Dignity of Human Beings"

Right Newz -- CSPAN: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton today said the U.S. government had nothing to do with the video that has touched off violence against U.S. diplomatic installations in Libya, Egypt and Yemen.[...]

“The United States government had absolutely nothing to do with this video,” Clinton said alongside Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Saad-Eddine Al-Otmani at the State Department. “… We have the greatest respect for people of faith… this video is disgusting and reprehensible. It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose, to denigrate a great religion and to promote rage.”

Blog author's comments - Would someone tell me why Hillary Clinton is qualified to be Secretary of State? Is it her vast foreign policy experience, her negotiation skills? The Obama administration showed a very weak foreign policy. Obama should have quickly condemned the assault on Americans and our embassies; I did not see him do that.

The Obama administration continues to put the blame for the attacks on the Egypt and Libya embassies and the murder of the U.S. Libyan ambassador and three other Americans in Libya on a video that makes fun of the Prophet Mohammed. To the Obama administration that explains everything that happened and evidently it's our fault.

These attacks, in my opinion, had nothing to do with a video. These were planned, coordinated terrorist attacks against America on the anniversary of 9/11. What action has been taken by the President? I would think Obama's constant reference to the killing of Osama bin Laden has had a greater affect on the Muslim terrorists than a video.

There is no leadership within the Obama administration. The video below of Mitt Romney and his statement showed me more presidential qualities than I have ever seen from Barack Obama. But, the MSM is of course being critical of Romney.

Chicago Teachers On Strike After Talks Fail - Average Salary $76,000

Yahoo News -- CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago teachers went on strike Monday for the first time in 25 years after their union and district officials failed to reach a contract agreement despite intense weekend negotiations that the union said were productive but still failed to adequately address issues such as job security and teacher evaluations.

The two sides were not far apart on compensation, but were on other issues, including health benefits — teachers want to keep what they have now — and a new teacher evaluation system based partly on students' standardized test scores, Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis said.

"This is a difficult decision and one we hoped we could have avoided," she said. "We must do things differently in this city if we are to provide our students with the education they so rightfully deserve."

Mayor Rahm Emanuel condemned the union's decision, and said the negotiations could be resolved if the two sides kept talking, "given how close we are."[...]

More than 26,000 teachers and support staff were expected to hit the picket lines early Monday, while the school district and parents carried out plans for keeping nearly 400,000 students safe and occupied while classes remain empty in the coming days in the nation's third largest school district.[...]

The timing also may be inopportune for Emanuel, a former White House chief of staff whose city administration is wrestling with a spike in murders and shootings in some city neighborhoods and who just agreed to take a larger role in fundraising for President Barack Obama's re-election campaign.

Entire column...

Blog author's comment - Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has a few problems to deal with. The teachers are on strike and the murder rate is soaring.

This strike could be a plus for Obama with less than 60 days until the election. When the teacher strike is resolved, the head of the teachers union could say the President was on the phone with us trying to get both sides to come together since it’s important for the children. Obama and Emanuel may work out a solution so they will both get credit for it.

A Chicago Public Schools spokesperson said the average pay for teachers is $76,000. That's for only nine months work. And, this salary does not include their benefits. But...they want more. The teachers already rejected a 16 percent salary increase over four years. They pay only 3 percent of their health-care costs.

White House Spin - Take Jobless Report 'In Context', Economy Is Healing

Alan Krueger

Washington Examiner -- In response to the less than impressive August jobs report this morning, Alan B. Krueger, Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers reminded Americans that the economy was still on its way to recovery.

On CNBC this morning Krueger reminded Americans the importance of taking the news “in context.”

“I say every month when the news comes in it’s important to take a step back, take today’s report in the context of other information that’s coming in,” he said. “We see a pattern that the economy is continuing to heal from the very deep recession that struck at the end of 2007 and really came to a boil in 2008.”

In a statement issued by the White House, Krueger added that it was “critical” for Washington to “continue the policies that are building an economy that works for the middle class.”

Blog author's comments - The economy is not 'continuing to heal.' The Obama administration has been a disaster. Obama's policies, agenda and massive spending have definitely put the economy in the shape it is now. He owns this economy.

U.S. employers added 96,000 jobs last month. The unemployment rate fell to 8.1 percent from 8.3 percent in July, the Labor Department said Friday. But that was only because more people gave up looking for work. 368,000 people dropped out of the workforce. The government only counts people as unemployed if they are actively searching for work.

The government also said 41,000 fewer jobs were created in July and June than first estimated. The economy has added just 139,000 jobs a month since the beginning of the year, below 2011′s average of 153,000. The unemployment rate has been above 8% for the 43rd straight month.

Many of the voters do not know enough about what the Obama administration has done to the country because the liberal media is controlled by the White House. If the facts were honestly reported, Obama's approval rating would be less than 30%.

Wasserman Schultz Attacks Examiner For 'Deliberately' Misquoting Her

Wasington Examiner -- CHARLOTTE – Earlier this evening, in an appearance on Fox News, Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz accused the Washington Examiner of “deliberately” misquoting her comments claiming that Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren stated that Republicans were “dangerous for Israel.”[...]

By way of background, on Monday, the Obama campaign’s Jewish outreach arm held a training session at the Democratic National Convention instructing Jewish Democrats on how to convince fellow Jews to vote for Obama by breaking through what she characterized as Republican distortions of President Obama’s record on Israel.

Here’s how I reported on Wasserman Schultz’s statement in my writeup of the event:

As she was wrapping up her remarks, she claimed that, “We know, and I’ve heard no less than Ambassador Michael Oren say this, that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel.”

The Washington Examiner could find no such public reference by Oren accusing Republicans of being “dangerous” to Israel.

Below, find the audio of what she said on Monday, which I’m confident demonstrates that I quoted her accurately in my story.

After listening to the audio, you can check out the video of her on Fox News saying she was “deliberately” misquoted, and judge for yourself.

Via the The Washington Free Beacon -- Israeli Ambassador: Debbie Lied

Israel’s ambassador to the United States rejected the claim made yesterday by the head of the Democratic National Committee that he described the Republican party as “dangerous for Israel.”

In an emailed statement, Amb. Michael Oren said “I categorically deny that I ever characterized Republican policies as harmful to Israel. Bipartisan support is a paramount national interest for Israel, and we have great friends on both sides of the aisle.”

Blog author's comments - The Chair of the Democratic National Committee Debbie Wasserman Schultz caught lying again. Is there anyone who does not understand why the Democrats selected her as their national chairperson?

Wasserman Schultz thought she could get away with this. It was quite satisfying that Ambassador Michael Oren denied what Wasserman Schultz claimed was said.

Biden Says Romney's 'Ready To Go To War In Syria and Iran'

NY Post -- Vice President Joe Biden said Sunday that Republican rival Mitt Romney is "ready to go to war in Syria and Iran" while hurting the middle class.

The warning came during a campaign stop in York, Pa., designed to promote President Barack Obama's economic policies among white, working-class voters. The thrust of Biden's pitch has been that America is digging out from the 2008 economic collapse and that Romney would take the country backward. But Biden, a foreign policy heavyweight, also cautioned voters that Romney would adopt a foreign policy that favors confrontation over cooperation.

"He said it was a mistake to end the war in Iraq and bring all of our warriors home," Biden said of Romney. "He said it was a mistake to set an end date for our warriors in Afghanistan and bring them home. He implies by the speech that he's ready to go to war in Syria and Iran. "

Romney has forcefully criticized Obama on foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East...and has pledged to defend US ally Israel.

Blog author's comments - "Biden, a foreign policy heavyweight" the reporter who wrote this serious? Joe Biden, Obama was the president at the time of the Middle East’s Arab Spring, who sent our military into Libya without permission from Congress, who backed the overthrow of Egypt's dictator and now Egypt is ruled by the Muslim Brotherhood, and who is telling Assad of Syria to step down.

Biden, speaking about Romney, said "he implies by the speech that he’s ready to go to war in Syria and Iran.” While Obama is in office Iran must sense that the US would not back Israel if they attempted to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program.

Joe Biden is trying to convince us that "America is digging out from the 2008 economic collapse." What has Obama done to help the economy, to create job growth, to help the middle class? The Obama administration is the biggest deterrent to the growth of our economy.

While at a campaign event in Detroit Joe Biden is forced to respond to the question of whether Americans are better off under Obama (September 3, 2012).
