Obama Canceled Mission to Go After Osama bin Laden - Three Times

'Gutsy Call' Not so Gutsy After All, New Book Reveals

Israel National News -- At the urging of senior advisor Valerie Jarrett, President Barack Obama canceled the operation to kill Osama bin Laden on three seperate occasions before finally approving the May 2, 2011 Navy SEAL mission, according to a new book scheduled for release August 21, The Daily Caller (DC) reported.

In “Leading From Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors who Decide for Him,” Richard Miniter writes that Obama canceled the mission in January 2011, again in February, and a third time in March.

Valerie Jarrett, a senior advisor and assistant to the president for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, reportedly persuaded Obama to hold off each time, the book reveals, according to The DC.

Miniter, a two-time New York Times best-selling author, cites an unnamed source with Joint Special Operations Command who had direct knowledge of the operation and its planning.

Obama administration officials said after the raid that the president had delayed giving the order to kill the arch-terrorist the day before the operation was carried out, in what turned out to be his fourth moment of indecision.

At the time, the White House blamed the delay on unfavorable weather conditions near bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. However, when Miniter obtained that day’s weather reports from the U.S. Air Force Combat Meteorological Center, he said, they showed ideal conditions for the SEALs to carry out their orders.

“President Obama’s greatest success was actually his greatest failure,” Miniter told The DC. “Leading From Behind,” he said, traces six key decisions of the Obama administration, and shows how the president made them, or, in many cases, failed to make them.

The president has made the assassination of Osama bin Laden a focal point in his re-election campaign, calling it one of the "gutsiest calls of any president in recent history."

Blog author's comments - So much for the 'gutsy' call. Obama is not the hero the media wants him to be. This isn’t any real shock – everything about Barack Obama screams fraud. He is always campaigning; if possible he would have waited until the election was closer.

Obama, the man is a myth created by the main stream media. If anything had gone wrong with the operation he no doubt had his story ready that would have placed the blame on his generals and those in charge of the mission. He would have taken no responsibility for failure.

Obama could not discuss this with Leon Panetta the US Secretary of Defense and the leaders of the operation and make the decision? The advice of Valerie Jarrett was more important? If the voters are aware of this story perhaps Obama will no longer 'spike' the Osama bin Laden victory ball and take so much credit for his death.

Obama - Supports Race Based School Disciplinary Actions

Obama backs race-based school discipline policies

Daily Caller -- President Barack Obama is backing a controversial campaign by progressives to regulate schools’ disciplinary actions so that members of major racial and ethnic groups are penalized at equal rates, regardless of individuals’ behavior.

His July 26 executive order established a government panel to promote “a positive school climate that does not rely on methods that result in disparate use of disciplinary tools.”

“African Americans lack equal access to highly effective teachers and principals, safe schools, and challenging college-preparatory classes, and they disproportionately experience school discipline,” said the order, titled “White House Initiative On Educational Excellence.”

Because of those causes, the report suggests, “over a third of African American students do not graduate from high school on time with a regular high school diploma, and only four percent of African American high school graduates interested in college are college-ready across a range of subjects.”

“What this means is that whites and Asians will get suspended for things that blacks don’t get suspended for,” because school officials will try to level punishments despite groups’ different infraction rates, predicted Hans Bader, a counsel at the Competitive Enterprise Institute. Bader is a former official in the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights, and has sued and represented school districts and colleges in civil-rights cases.

“It is too bad that the president has chosen to set up a new bureaucracy with a focus on one particular racial group, to the exclusion of all others,” said Roger Clegg, the president of the Center for Equal Opportunity.

“A disproportionate share of crimes are committed by African Americans, and they are disproportionately likely to misbehave in school… [because] more than 7 out of 10 African Americans (72.5 percent) are born out of wedlock… versus fewer than 3 out of 10 whites,” he said in a statement to The Daily Caller. Although ” you won’t see it mentioned in the Executive Order… there is an obvious connection between these [marriage] numbers and how each group is doing educationally, economically, criminally,” he said.

Blog author's comments - This would not be considered racist would it? Obama is revealing himself more each day. Common sense is not a trait of this administration or liberals in general.

He has already done enough to damage racial harmony for another twenty years. This is bad for all the students and the administration knows it, but it could ensure a dependency class of liberal voters well into the future.

What do we expect from the first, and hopefully last, affirmative action president? Sounds like an executive order for the black children to misbehave. I’m sure the teachers are thrilled.

Obama's backing of this policy absolutely assures the black high school dropout rate will go up. It has ceased to be about equal rights. It's now about special rights.

Democrats Complain About Voter ID Law In Pennsylvania

DCCC: Pa. voter ID law could sink Obama's campaign

Washington Examiner -- Pennsylvania’s voter identification law could sink President Obama’s reelection campaign, according to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC).

“Pennsylvania’s new ‘voter I.D.’ law could literally decide the fate of President Obama’s re-election,” wrote DCCC field director Brynne Craig. “It’s not the first time that Republicans have tried to suppress the vote — but in an election this close, it could be the tipping point that delivers the Presidency to Mitt Romney.”

The Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is creating a new voter ID card that is free for people without other forms of ID.

“As we work to ensure that Pennsylvanians have the identification they need to vote this fall, this new card will provide another photo ID option for voters,” Commonwealth Secretary Carol Aichele said earlier this week. “Everyone who needs ID to vote will be able to get it months before the election.”

Entire column...

Blog author's comments - Do the Democrats rely on voter fraud to help them win elections? The Justice Department has already launched an investigation into the law and Obama will probably have his AG Eric Holder and the DOJ file a suit blocking the voter ID law in Pennsylvania at least until after the election.

“It’s not the first time that Republicans have tried to suppress the vote — but in an election this close, it could be the tipping point that delivers the Presidency to Mitt Romney.” A voter ID law is suppressing the vote? I would hope this law would 'suppress' the votes of non-citizens and those not registered to vote which is what it is meant to do.

Seriously, is anybody that is a real citizen, registered, legal, etc. not concerned about voter fraud in November? Whatever it takes - the Democrats will do - to keep Obama in office.

Does Obama expect us to believe him?

Obama Faults Romney - He Distorted My Comments On Business

Obama complains Romney is 'knowingly twisting my words' on business

Washington Examiner -- Last night at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., President Obama complained that Mitt Romney took his controversial comments about business out of context.

“Frankly, the other side can’t sell their ideas so what they’re going to do is distort my vision. Earlier today, Gov. Romney was at it again,” Obama said, according to the pool report. “Knowingly twisting my words to suggest I don’t value small business.” [...]

Obama was referring to his comment that, “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.” Defenders of the president insist that he was talking about roads and bridges, not businesses.

Entire column...

Blog author's comments - Obama owns those words. No one is twisting anything. Just repeating exactly what he said. “You didn’t build that” is another glimpse into who he is.

He is now desperate to walk his comments back, yet not upset his leftist base. There appears to be a resentment from Obama towards those who have achieved and been successful without help from the government.

Obama seems to think that whatever he says at any given moment is true, regardless of actual facts or anything he said previously. I hope voters can see that so he and his family will no longer be living in the White House after the November election.

The Tragic Mass Murder At Batman Movie - And Gun Rights

The Ultimate Gun Rights Article

Conservative Daily News -- In the wake of the tragic mass murder in Aurora, Colorado, some on the political left have used the occasion to further their assault on citizens’ Constitutional right to bear arms. The charge is being led by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who apparently believes that a disarmed populace is a safe populace.

But safe from whom?

The right to defend oneself and one’s property is inalienable and indisputable. However, the left is taking pot shots at Americans’ gun rights by claiming that gun control or even outright bans are necessary for our own safety.

But an article written by Tracy W. Price and published in the Washington Times puts that myth to bed.

"Anti-gun nonsense" lures the reader in before laying the hammer down. The first myth it dispels is that high-visibility, highly sensationalistic mass murder sprees used to justify gun control laws are less likely to happen in “gun free,” or as the author puts it, “defenseless” zones.

That’s right before he points out the following, which is well beyond statistical naysaying:

In fact, research by economist and author John Lott and Bill Landes shows that states that allow law-abiding citizens to carry concealed handguns enjoy a 60 percent decrease in multiple-victim public shootings and a 78 percent decrease in victims per attack.[...]

The decrease in murder and robbery in states with shall-issue laws, even after controlling statistically for every other cause of crime reduction, is real and significant. Of the many scholars who were given Lott’s data and did their own analyses, most agree with his conclusions. States that passed these laws experienced sharp drops in murder, rape, robbery, and assault, even after allowing for the effects of poverty, unemployment, police arrest rates, and the like. States that did not pass these laws did not show comparable declines.[...]

Such overwhelmingly clear and positive evidence will not deter big government types like Michael Bloomberg from making the argument that Americans do not have the right to defend themselves (from other citizens or from the state). But the case for eliminating gun control laws is mounting and the counter-arguments are appearing increasingly spurious or trivial.

Not only is the right to bear arms morally just, but it is also statistically proven that citizens who lawfully carry firearms are safer from other citizens and from their own government.

Now who exactly would be against that?

Entire column...

Blog author's comments - I would think by now everyone knows this tragedy took place at a midnight premier of the latest 'Batman' movie. I believe that if someone is of the mind to do what James Holmes did, and is intelligent enough to plan well, tragedies like this shooting cannot be stopped. Even if the Second Amendment was removed from our Constitution

The liberal anti-gun crowd will continue to chip away at the Second Amendment rights of the law abiding American citizens. They use these tragedies to attempt to push their mindset on us. This is only one of the many reasons I feel Barack Obama must be defeated in November.

He will no doubt be able to appoint at least one and probably two liberal Justices to the Supreme Court much like his other two appointments, if he wins a second term. If this happens the liberal Supreme Court Justices could rewrite the Constitution beginning with the Second Amendment and take away our right to defend ourselves. The crime rate would rise dramatically.

Concealed carry permits help to protect us. Most criminals are carrying their guns illegally and could not pass the extensive background check to obtain a concealed carry permit. Also, most of the crime is done by people who did not purchase their guns from a gun shop and pass that background check.

In this case the shooter had no police record aside from a traffic ticket. So...there were no warning signs. James Holmes was from what I have read an intelligent person and good student until the last few months before he committed this horrendous crime. What prompted him to do this? We may never know.

Most if not all of the mass killings take place in areas which are 'gun free zones'. The shooters know that the likelihood of encountering armed citizens is remote.

Pelosi - Dodges Her Tax Returns But Wants Romney to Release More of His

Nancy Pelosi Downplays Tax Return Demand

Roll Call -- Facing questions about why she and other top Congressional officials won’t release their tax returns, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) downplayed her previous demands for presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to release his, calling the issue a distraction.

As recently as Wednesday, Pelosi had strongly urged Romney to provide further disclosure of his tax returns. But today, while maintaining Romney should release more documents because of “custom” and “tradition,” Pelosi said the issue was trivial compared with economic issues.

“We spent too much time on that. We should be talking about middle-income tax cuts,” Pelosi said after answering two questions about the issue.

The Minority Leader faced questions about the issue after a McClatchy News report showed only 17 of 535 Members released their tax returns when asked.

Entire column...

Blog author's comments - Quite Interesting how Pelosi changed her stance concerning demands for more of Mitt Romney's tax returns after she was asked about her own tax returns. The GOP needs to stay on offense.

The Obama administration has to be stopped while we still have a chance. No one ever challenges the left. They are allowed to run with lies about Republicans and are supported by the MSM. Only conservative talk radio is there to report the truth. The November election is very serious. It is about saving America and our freedoms.

DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz - Attempts to Defend Obama

Wasserman Schultz: "Ludicrous" To Say
Obama Doesn't Want Business To Take Credit

Real Clear Politics -- DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz defends Obama's comment that successful business owners/entrepreneurs don't deserve credit for their own success. WCHE Radio Host says he's stunned after watching the video 10 times and reading the transcript: "I don't know how else you can interpret it." (Audio below)

Radio host: Is there a fundamental difference here, where the President believes that all positive things flow from the federal government whereas Mitt Romney and many people believe that good things flow from the private sector and that they should not be demonized and demagogued for creating jobs?

Obama: If You've Got a Business, You Didn't Build That

DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz Defends Obama's "You didn't Build That" Comment

Blog author's comments - This was just another failed attempt to cover for the worst president in the history of our country. The comments by Obama were not 'taken out of context'. Obama really believes what he said about successful business owners during his speech.

Wasserman Schultz was not very convincing with her remarks to the radio host. Of course the leftist Obama supporters agree with him. If someone is successful and wealthy, liberals don't believe they could have attained their money from hard work and intelligence; they must have schemed and cheated others.

The Democrats continually play the class warfare game. And because Mitt Romney has been very successful, this is their plan to defeat him. The Obama campaign does not have anything else. He cannot run on his record, his policies and agenda have been the ruination of our economy.

Mark Levin - Advice For Mitt Romney

Attention Mitt Romney and Romney Campaign Staff

Via: The Right Scoop -- You need to go on offense! Obama wants to talk about outsourcing. Ok, then, slap him with it. Here's an example: "Obama has outsourced our credit to the Chinese, he has outsourced our energy to Saudi Arabia, he has outsourced NASA to the Russians (H/T Jim Geraghty, NRO), and he has outsourced our foreign policy to the United Nations."

But don't stop there. Even better, start hitting Obama for the actual consequences of his reign. Try this: "If your high school or college age son or daughter cannot find a job this summer, thank Obama; if your senior citizen dad or mom has to work a part-time job to make ends meet, thank Obama; if your spouse lost his or her job in the last 3 1/2 years, thank Obama; if you lost your job and, as a consequence, your family lost its health care, thank Obama." And say it, over and over again.

And you should add: "The problem is that Obama doesn't know what he doesn't know, but thinks he knows everything. He is the most incompetent and ideologically confused president in our life-time. The reason why the economy is not growing, jobs are not being created, businesses are closing, and families are losing their homes and health care is because Obama raises taxes when he should lower them, he issues regulations when he should freeze them, and he trash-mouths American industries when he should be promoting them here and abroad."

You should also bring back the crucially important issue of our nation debt. For example: "By the end of this year, Obama will have added nearly $6.5 trillion to the nation debt, and that doesn't include the trillions in new spending from Obamacare. Obama likes to whine about the economy he inherited from Presidents Clinton and Bush. Can you imagine the state of the economy I will be inheriting from Obama? Even worse, can you imagine the massive debt your family will be inheriting from Obama? The world has never seen anything like it."

And I think a good label for Obama would be -- "Obama, incompetent and reckless." Let's get on with it.

Blog author's comments - Good suggestions and advice from Mark Levin. The most important election in my life-time will soon be here. This is a must win election for the GOP and the US. It is time for Mitt Romney to inform the people what a radical president Obama has been and how unqualified he has proven himself to be.

Those who thought Obama's first term was bad, and they should be the majority of the people in the country, you will not believe what he has planned for us if he wins a second term.

For those who are not familiar with Mark Levin. He is an American lawyer, author, conservative commentator, and the host of American syndicated radio show, The Mark Levin Show.

Levin served in the administration of President Ronald Regan. He is president of the Landmark Legal Foundation, has authored bestselling books and contributes commentary to various media outlets such as National Review Online.

Obama - Says Washington Feels Broken

Obama: Washington 'feels as broken as it did 4 years ago

Fox News -- President Barack Obama says Washington "feels as broken as it did four years ago," when he took office.

He's most frustrated by the inability "to change the atmosphere" in the capital "to reflect the decency and common sense of ordinary people" who want leaders to solve problems.

He adds "there's enough blame to go around for that."

Obama tells CBS' "Sunday Morning" that there's no doubt that he underestimated how much "politics trump problem-solving."

Blog author's comments - What Obama is saying is...I have done my best but I do not receive cooperation from the Republicans who now control the House. They won't do what I want them to do. Also we inherited so many problems from George W. Bush. Obama -- Washington and the entire country is broken and broke by $5 Trillion since you have been in office.

The President seems to forget that for two years the Democrats had a majority in the House, a filibuster proof Senate and the Executive branch. During that time the Democrats got quite a lot done which is why the country is in the shape it is. Obama doesn’t have a real solution to any problem. He is the problem.

Mitt Romney on Obama - "How Can We Trust Him?"

New Romney Ad Calls Obama Liar, Dishonest

Weekly Standard -- A new television advertisement from the campaign of presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney attacks President Barack Obama's campaign for spreading lies and dishonest attacks. Watch the ad, titled "No Evidence," here:

The ad concludes: "But America expects more from a president. Obama’s dishonest campaign: Another reason America has lost confidence in Barack Obama." This ad will begin airing immediately, especially, sources tell me, in swing states like Ohio and Virginia.

It represents the strongest pushback by the Romney campaign of the Obama campaign's claim that Romney outsourced jobs while running Bain Capital.

Blog author's comments - Those who were paying attention before the 2008 election had an inkling of what they could expect from Barack Obama. The McCain campaign team was no help because they were afraid to challenge him; they feared they would be labeled racist. Most of the media bashed George W. Bush for almost two terms and Obama entered the presidential race at a most opportune time.

Most voters were not aware of Obama's background, radical mentors, lack of work experience, etc. The MSM stumbled all over their selves to promote the Obama presidency. For almost four years we have watched and listened to Obama show us he is a serial liar. Many voters whose only source of news comes from a liberal nightly news show are not aware of what the Obama administration is doing to the country.

Obama promised many things to the American people and when his plans failed he pointed his finger of blame everywhere except at himself. I have never believed Obama should be the president; so much of what he has done was not a huge surprise. But, if the majority of the voters do not back Mitt Romney in November, Obama may change America forever.

Western Center For Journalism -- So many of Obama’s voters were ignorant and uninformed about the man himself because they got all caught up in the hype and lofty rhetoric. But to make the same mistake again wouldn’t be just stupid; it would be, in the words of Constitutional lawyer, scholar and best-selling author Mark Levin, “national suicide.”

Holder Defends His Fight Against Voter ID Laws at NAACP Convention

NAACP meet goes wild for Eric Holder

Politico -- In a rousing speech at the NAACP convention in Houston, Attorney General Eric Holder on Tuesday strongly defended his efforts to block controversial voter ID laws in some states - including Texas - saying the Justice Department “will not allow political pretexts to disenfranchise American citizens of their most precious right.”

“The arc of American history has always moved toward expanding the electorate. It is what has made this nation exceptional. We will simply not allow this era to be the beginning of the reversal of that historic progress,” Holder told the assembled delegates.

Holder further suggested that the Texas voter ID laws were passed for political reasons rather than a genuine desire to prevent voting fraud.

“In our efforts to protect voting rights and to prevent voting fraud, we will be vigilant and strong. But let me be clear, let me be very, very clear: we will not allow political pretexts to disenfranchise American citizens of their most precious right,” the attorney general said to uproarious applause.

It was an appropriate venue: Monday was the first day of trial in a case that Texas has filed against the Justice Department over approval of its voter ID law, and the NAACP convention was set in Houston.

Holder, who said he brought greetings from the First Family and members of the president’s cabinet, also outlined other successes that the Justice Department has achieved, including its work in combating hate crimes - over the past three years the DOJ has prosecuted 35 percent more hate crimes than the three years prior - and the aggressive use of the Civil Right’s Division authority.

“Over the past three years, the Civil Rights Division has filed more criminal civil rights cases than ever before, including record numbers of police misconduct, hate crimes, and human trafficking cases,” Holder noted.

Holder, the first African American attorney general of the United States, was received extraordinarily well by the delegates at the NAACP. After he finished his prepared remarks, the NAACP delegates assembled in Houston passed an “emergency resolution” that resolved the organization and its members to “strongly support” the attorney general’s efforts, especially with regards to voting rights.

The resolution also called Holder one of the best attorneys general ever.

Blog author's comments - It should really be quite simple. If you are a legal citizen and registered to vote and have a photo ID you are eligible to vote. Those who do not have a photo ID can acquire one at no charge in most states. I would like Eric Holder and other Democrats along with the NAACP to produce a single eligible voter that has been disenfranchised by voter ID laws.

I would find it hard to believe that most people would not understand the Obama administration's problem with voter ID laws. The laws help to prevent voter fraud and to have fair and honest elections. A fair and honest election is not what the Democrats care about in November. Their only concern is to gain a second term for Obama.

NAACP Requires Photo I.D. to See Holder in State Being Sued Over Voter ID

Earlier today, Attorney General Eric Holder addressed the NAACP National Convention at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. What did media need in order to attend? That's right, government issued photo identification (and a second form of identification too!), something both Holder and the NAACP stand firmly against when it comes to voting.

Obama's Campaign Adviser - Calls Mitt Romney 'Secretive'

Axelrod Calls Romney 'Most Secretive Candidate' Since Nixon

National Journal -- In an interview with CBS Radio News on Thursday, President Obama’s senior campaign adviser David Axelrod called Mitt Romney “the most secretive candidate we've seen probably since Richard Nixon,” pointing to an Associated Press report that Romney has undisclosed assets in an account in Bermuda.

Axelrod repeated the claim on Friday on CBS’ This Morning, adding that the Romney campaign is trying to “turn the clock back 50 years” on transparency. He noted that Romney’s father, who was once himself a presidential candidate, set a precedent by releasing his tax returns for multiple years, but that Romney himself has not embraced that standard.

“What happened after Nixon is we as a country said we need a higher level of disclosure,” Axelrod said. “Governor Romney and his campaign have stone-walled and are trying to turn the clock back 50 years on transparency and disclosure.”

Axelrod also said on CBS that TV ads the Obama campaign is running, which accuse Romney of outsourcing American jobs during his time at Bain Capital, will remain on air, despite the fact that disputed the content in those ads.

Blog author's comments - Obama’s senior campaign adviser David Axelrod is wrong. We actually know quite a bit about Mitt Romney. But, what do we know about Barack Obama?

Of course, we know that Obama has sealed his college records. What is he hiding? Romney produced his birth certificate soon after he was asked for it. This would have been a good start for Obama.

The fact that the Obama administration can’t dig up any dirt on Romney, to them this must mean that he’s hiding something. These people just cannot believe that Romney may have lived the life he says he has. Mr. Axelrod, get back to us when Obama releases the 'Fast and Furious' documents that he is withholding to protect Eric Holder and possibly himself.

Romney - The Obamacare Mandate is a Tax

Mitt Romney calls individual mandate a tax

Yahoo News -- Mitt Romney steered his campaign message back in line with other top Republicans on Wednesday, insisting that the health care law's individual mandate that requires most Americans to buy health insurance was "a tax."

"The majority of the court said it is a tax, and therefore it is a tax," Romney said in an interview with CBS Wednesday, citing the Supreme Court's health law ruling last week that the individual mandate fell under the federal government's authority to levy taxes and was therefore constitutional.

"They have spoken. There's no way around that. You can try and say you wish they had decided a different way, but they didn't."

Romney's comments came days after senior adviser Fehrnstrom rejected the notion that the individual mandate imposed a "tax," saying instead that it was a "penalty."[...]

Romney, who contradicted Fehrnstrom's comments today, picked up a line of attack that many of his fellow Republicans had already launched at the president after the Supreme Court's ruling.

"The American people know President Obama has broken the pledge he made," Romney told CBS. "He said he wouldn't raise taxes on middle-Americans. Not only did he raise the $500 billion that was already in the bill, it's now clear that his mandate, as described by the Supreme Court, is a tax."

Blog author's comments - This was a clear cut and firm statement from Romney while clearing up what his senior adviser Fehrnstrom had said earlier. Now Mitt Romney and other Republicans should use their time from now until the November election, informing the voters what Obama has done to our economy with his policies and agenda.

The GOP must tell the voters the truth. That as long as Obama is in office the economy will not see a major recovery. Concentrate on Obama, if the GOP and Romney can win, they can take care of Obamacare. What the Obama regime has planned should Obama win a second term will be devastation to the country.

I believe that most who follow politics knew that the four liberals on the high court would ignore the Constitution, but for Justice Roberts to side with them and basically rewrite the Obamacare mandate as a tax was wrong and a surprise.

The Supreme Court is supposed to rule on the law the way it was written. It was not written as a 'tax'. If the Justices are going to play politics they should not be on the court for life. There should be a limited number of years they can serve.

Pelosi - Tells Her Fellow Democrats To Push Obamacare

Pelosi: Talk up health care law's benefits

Politico -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is urging fellow Democrats to make a stronger drive to convince Americans of the benefits of the health care reform law, even as the White House seems to be headed in the other direction.

"Seniors are already paying less for prescription drugs. They may not know it, but it’s because of the Affordable Care Act, and we have to make sure they do," the California congresswoman said in an interview aired Sunday on NBC's "Meet The Press."

Pelosi refrained from direct criticism of the White House or President Barack Obama for failing to sell the legislation, but when asked by host David Gregory about whether Obama had done enough, she replied: "I think he did very well the day it got the approval [from the Supreme Court], but, yes, it's always a conversation with the public."

Asked if she could have done more to boost public approval of the new health care law, Pelosi gave what sounded like a sarcastic yes.

"We certainly could have done that. … I could have left the battlefield of passing the bill and gone out and raised $100 million" for ads to build support for the legislation, she said.

Blog author's comments - Apparently Pelosi and other Democrats are worried that Obamacare will be an issue in the coming election. The majority of Americans do not want the "Affordable Care Act" aka 'Obamacare.'

Moe Lane on 'Red State' best voices my sentiments: "Repeat after me: THE OBAMACARE 'MANDATE' WAS ACTUALLY A TAX."

"Do not let the other side get away with pretending otherwise. I understand fully why the Democrats don’t want to campaign on the position that their ‘signature’ accomplishment is a horrific, promise-breaking middle class tax hike.[...] But that’s the Democrats’ problem, not ours. All we have to do is figure out new ways to keep the gloating albatross around their collective neck until the election. And one way to do that is to never, ever, ever let any apologist for the Democrats and/or Barack Obama get away with pretending that Obamacare [can be constitutional without being] a tax."

The November election may be the last chance to remove the free spending Democrats from Washington along with Obamacare. The Obamacare law will destroy the greatest health care system in the world.

Majority views individual mandate as a tax

A strong majority of Americans say the individual mandate is a tax, rather than a penalty or a fee, according to a CNN poll released on Monday. Sixty percent said they view the individual mandate as a tax, versus 39 percent that said it’s not a tax.

Republicans jumped on the court’s ruling that the healthcare law’s individual mandate, which the Obama administration originally pitched as a penalty or fee for those who don’t purchase insurance, is constitutional under Congress’s power to tax, calling it evidence that President Obama has raised taxes on the middle class.
