Pelosi - Trayvon Martin Death Probe Not Working

Pelosi: If Justice System Probe of Trayvon Martin Death 'Doesn't
Seem to be Working''Other Options' Should Be Considered

CNS News -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that while she supports the investigation into the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin that is taking place in the justice system, “other options” should be considered "if that doesn't seem to be working."

“We all supported an investigation that is taking place,” Pelosi said at her Thursday news conference when asked if Congress should hold hearings on the case. “I think that’s an issue in the justice system, and if that doesn’t seem to be working then consider some other options, but I’m pleased that the investigation is going forward.”

Martin, a Florida teenager who was fatally shot by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman on Feb. 26, has become a rallying for activists who allege that the shooting was racially motivated.

Florida police did not charge Zimmerman with a crime in the shooting, which Zimmerman claimed was in self-defense.

Blog author's comments - Apparently Nancy Pelosi has ruled out the presumption of innocence. What is she suggesting? All the liberal hype needs to be ignored. If the left, the MSM and other groups continue to push this case in the direction they are going, there may be more blood shed.

This is not a Presidential matter or an issue for Congress. This is a local, county matter. The local police investigate the evidence and known facts, if there is sufficient evidence then arrest the man and go to trial. If they concur he is innocent of a crime he is a free man.

AFL-CIO Executive Vice President Arlene Holt Baker told The Daily Caller that it is “conservative, right-wing policies that are to blame” for Trayvon Martin‘s death.

Justices Could Dump Obamacare

Justices poised to strike
down entire healthcare law

L.A. Times -- The Supreme Court's conservative justices said Wednesday they are prepared to strike down President Obama's healthcare law entirely.

Picking up where they left off Tuesday, the conservatives said they thought a decision striking down the law's controversial individual mandate to purchase health insurance means the whole statute should fall with it.

The court’s conservatives sounded as though they had determined for themselves that the 2,700-page measure must be declared unconstitutional.

"One way or another, Congress will have to revisit it in toto," said Justice Antonin Scalia.

Agreeing, Justice Anthony Kennedy said it would be an "extreme proposition" to allow the various insurance regulations to stand after the mandate was struck down.

Meanwhile, the court's liberal justices argued for restraint. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said the court should do a "salvage job," not undertake a “wrecking operation." But she looked to be out-voted.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. said they shared the view of Scalia and Kennedy that the law should stand or fall in total. Along with Justice Clarence Thomas, they would have a majority to strike down the entire statute as unconstitutional.

Blog author's comments - Although this seems like good news we really have no clue what will happen. It will probably take months for a final decision to be made.

This is why Obama must be defeated in November. He cannot be allowed the chance of nominating probably two more liberal Supreme Court Justices. If this should happen the Constitution may be ignored.

Sharpton and Jackson Doing Their Jobs

Former NAACP leader accuses Sharpton and
Jackson of 'exploiting' Trayvon Martin

Daily Caller -- Former NAACP leader C.L. Bryant is accusing Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton of “exploiting” the Trayvon Martin tragedy to “racially divide this country.”

“His family should be outraged at the fact that they’re using this child as the bait to inflame racial passions,” Rev. C.L. Bryant said in a Monday interview with The Daily Caller.

The conservative black pastor who was once the chapter president of the Garland, Texas NAACP called Jackson and Sharpton “race hustlers” and said they are “acting as though they are buzzards circling the carcass of this young boy.”

Jackson, for example, recently said Martin’s death shows how
“blacks are under attack” and “targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.”

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain, killed Martin, a 17-year-old black man who was unarmed at the time of his death, last month. Zimmerman has claimed to have shot Martin in self-defense and has not been charged with a crime.

But Bryant, who explores the topic of black-on-black crime in his new film “Runaway Slave,” said people like Jackson and Sharpton are being misleading to suggest there is an epidemic of “white men killing black young men.”

“The epidemic is truly black on black crime,” Bryant said. “The greatest danger to the lives of young black men are young black men.”

Bryant said he wishes civil rights leaders were protesting those problems.

Blog author's comments - What else should we expect from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton? They are professional race baiters. They don't know what actually happened but, they will fan the flames of racism just as they have in many other cases.

All that is actually known at this time is there was some sort of confrontation between Zimmerman and Martin and Martin is dead. Trayvon Martin is being portrayed as an innocent young man who was stalked by George Zimmerman and shot.

Other witnesses have said Martin had Zimmerman on the ground punching him. At this time Zimmerman has not been charged. But he is assumed guilty by many.

Jackson, Sharpton and many in the MSM will continue to exploit this story. It's time to tone it down and let the police in Sanford, Florida do their job and determine what actually happened.

Middle-Schoolers Assigned Research On GOP

Va. middle-schoolers assigned
opposition research on GOP candidates

Daily Caller -- A Virginia middle school teacher recently forced his students to support President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign by conducting opposition research in class against the Republican presidential candidates.

The 8th grade students, who attend Liberty Middle School in Fairfax County, were required to seek out the vulnerabilities of Republican presidential hopefuls and forward them to the Obama campaign.

“This assignment was just creepy beyond belief — like something out of East Germany during the Cold War,” one frustrated father, who asked for his family to remain anonymous, told The Daily Caller.

The assignment was for students to research the backgrounds and positions of each of the GOP candidates for president and find “weaknesses” in them, the parent explained. From there, students were to prepare a strategy paper to exploit those weaknesses and then to send their suggestions to the Obama campaign.

Liberty teacher Michael Denman, who declined to comment, unveiled the assignment in mid-January when he broke the Civics Honor’s class into four groups, one for each Republican candidate. The students were then to collaborate as a group and research the backgrounds of their assigned candidate.

Denman assigned two kids to write a paper revealing the identified “weaknesses,” two to write the attack strategy paper and two others to locate an individual inside the Obama campaign to whom they could send the information.

“My classmates don’t actually know a lot, but a few of us tended to agree that the most recent instruction on this project just didn’t seem right,” one of the students told The DC. “Mr. Denman didn’t tell us where to find the information, just to research on them.”

As a result, the school received multiple phone calls from parents frustrated with the political nature of the assignment, the father told The DC.

“I was shocked that a school teacher would so blatantly politicize the curriculum of a middle school classroom,” the parent said. “I asked [my child] if a similar assignment had been handed out to examine the background and positions of President Obama to see if the teacher was at least being bipartisan.”

No similar assignment was given to research Obama’s history, identify his weaknesses or pass them along to the Republican candidates. Keep reading...

Blog author's comments - When you are put into a position of public trust, you have a responsibility to perform your duties in a fair and impartial way. I realize this is a very difficult task for a liberal.

We have to start holding people like this teacher accountable for their actions. He is attempting to mold these kids into the liberal way of thinking at a very young age. One parent asked if a similar assignment was given to research President Obama and his administration -- of course not.

Ms. Fluke - Politicans Should Pass "Litmus Test"

Sandra Fluke: Politicians should be required to
pass pro-woman litmus test to get elected

Daily Caller -- Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke said on Tuesday that candidates running for office should have to pass a pro-woman litmus test in order to get elected.

Fluke, an advocate for the Obama administration’s plan to force health insurers to cover birth control, was on Capitol Hill for a forum on “Opportunities and Challenges for a New Generation of Women,” in celebration of Women’s History Month.

“There should be a litmus test that they be pro-women so our votes have to include that requirement at least,” Fluke said. “And it should be a litmus test that applies to male candidates as well.”

She also spoke about the possibility of running for office in the future: “Numerous American women have actually written to me in the last few weeks saying that I should run for office, and maybe someday I will.”

Blog author's comments - Obama is using Sandra Fluke in an attempt to win women voters and silence conservative talk radio.

Ms. Fluke is well rested after her vacation to Spain and Italy and now wants to continue to be used by the Obama administration. Aren’t her ‘15’ minutes of fame up?

She can afford to go to Georgetown University, and pay for a vacation, but cannot afford $9 bucks a month for birth control pills. She believes it is her right that we pay for her birth control. Of course Obama has already said that health insurers will cover birth control.

You don’t suppose her whole shtick was some sort of a set-up operation, to distract the weak-minded from the actual problems we now have because of Barack Obama and his regime? No doubt she will be trotted out a few more times prior to the general election.

Sec. Chu - Good Job Keeping Gas Prices Down

Chu: Better Than A-Minus On Keeping Gas Prices Down

Washington Free Beacon -- Energy Secretary Steven Chu said he would give himself a “higher” than A-minus grade on keeping gas prices low at a hearing of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Tuesday morning.

At the Oversight Committee hearing, held to address the Energy Department’s green energy loan program, Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) asked Chu how he would grade his performance on reducing gas prices. Chu said “higher than (A-minus),” citing the department’s aggressive work to develop alternatives to petroleum-based fuel, such as natural gas and electric.

At a previous hearing in March, Chu said he would give himself an A-minus grade for his performance so far as Energy Secretary.

Blog author's comments - Secretary Chu's grade for himself is extremely high considering the rise in the price of gas. But the voters will be grading the Obama Administration in November.

Let's hope that when Obama said no to the Keystone pipeline it will come back to haunt and help remove him and his regime from office.

Obama - Blames Fox News For Troubles

Obama blamed troubles on Fox News, book says

Politico -- President Barack Obama blamed Fox News for his political woes in a private meeting with labor leaders in 2010, saying he was “losing white males” who tune into the cable outlet and “hear Obama is a Muslim 24/7,” according to journalist David Corn’s new book, “Showdown.”

In “Showdown: The Inside Story of How Obama Fought Back Against Boehner, Cantor, and the Tea Party” — which hits bookstores on Tuesday — the Washington bureau chief for Mother Jones chronicles the White House from the 2010 midterm elections to the start of the 2012 campaign. The book focuses on key moments of Obama’s presidency, such as Osama bin Laden's assassination the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the Arab Spring, the debt ceiling crisis, and the president’s dealings with Congress.

Corn writes that after the midterm elections, Obama told labor leaders in December 2010 that he held Fox partly responsible for him "losing white males."

"…Fed by Fox News, they hear Obama is a Muslim 24/7, and it begins to seep in…The Republicans have been at this for 40 years. They have new resources, but the strategy is old," Corn recounted Obama as saying.

Obama shifted his own tactics in 2011, Corn writes, moving from compromising with Republicans to challenging the tea party. The president, senior adviser David Plouffe and other top administration officials plotted a “secret strategy” — by not unveiling a specific deficit reduction plan and not instantly challenging the House Republicans’ budget cuts — to “draw the GOP into a trap.”

Blog author's comments - It's never his fault. We don’t hear "Obama is a Muslim 24/7" rather we see for ourselves that he is a complete failure. Many people don’t need FOX to determine for them how to judge a person who has been the worst president in history.

Obama may have lost many white males because of what his policies and agenda have done. I am hopeful that a large number who did support him in 2008 will vote against him in 2012. Those who will always support him are his union buddies.

Obama - Rising Gas Prices Not My Fault

5 Biggest Whoppers In Obama's Energy Speech

Inverstors Business Daily -- The White House billed President Obama's energy policy speech as a response to mounting criticism of record high gas prices. What he delivered was a grab bag of excuses and outright falsehoods.

Obama's main message to struggling motorists was: It's not my fault, so stop whining. The speech only got worse from there, recycling excuses and myths that Obama's peddled for years. But there were some standout whoppers that deserve debunking.

"We're focused on production."

Obama has chosen almost always to limit production. He canceled leases on federal lands in Utah, suspended them in Montana, delayed them in Colorado and Utah, and canceled lease sales off the Virginia coast.

His administration also has been slow-walking permits in the Gulf of Mexico, approving far fewer while stretching out review times, according to the Greater New Orleans Gulf Permit Index. The Energy Dept. says Gulf oil output will be down 17% by the end of 2013.

"The U.S. consumes more than a fifth of the world's oil. But we only have 2% of the world's oil reserves."

Obama constantly refers to this statistic to buttress his claim that "we can't drill our way to lower gas prices." The argument goes that since the U.S. supply is limited, it won't ever make a difference to world prices.

It's bogus. New exploration and drilling technologies have uncovered vast amounts of recoverable oil.

In fact, the U.S. has a mind-boggling 1.4 trillion barrels of oil, enough to "fuel the present needs in the U.S. for around 250 years," according to the Institute for Energy Research. The problem is the government has put most of this supply off limits.

"Because of the investments we've made, the use of clean, renewable energy in this country has nearly doubled."

Production of renewable energy — biomass, wind, solar and the like — climbed just 12% between 2008 and 2011, according to the federal Energy Information Administration.

"We need to double-down on a clean energy industry that's never been more promising."

Renewable energy simply won't play an important role in the country's energy picture anytime soon, accounting for just 13% of U.S. energy production by 2035, according to the EIA. Keep reading...

Blog author's comments - The President continues his attempts to deceive concerning the rising gas prices.

In the video Obama tries to make the situation amusing, but I don't believe the majority of American people are laughing.

Last Wednesday the Senate Democrats rejected the Keystone Pipeline project and ANWR drilling.

Keystone was expected to create thousands of high paying jobs in the oil industry. The project itself would create 20,000 construction jobs. The pipeline would bring oil from Canada to refineries in the US.

Obama says no to more drilling for our own oil. He said no to the Keystone pipeline from Canada.

We are in serious trouble if he gets a second term in office.

We're Not Drilling in the National Mall,
We're Not Drilling at Your House"

Dems Fly American Flag With Obama's Face

American flag with President Obama's image
sparks outrage at Florida Democrats

Fox News -- An American flag with President Obama's image in place of the stars flew over a Florida county's Democrat headquarters long enough to enrage local veterans who called the altered banner "a disgrace."

Lake County Democratic Party officials took down the flag, which flew just below a standard Old Glory on the flagpole outside headquarters in Tavares following complaints by local veterans. But merely taking it down wasn't enough for several local veterans, who said they fought for the flag Betsy Ross made famous, not one with a politician on it.

"It's absolutely disrespectful," Jim Bradford, a 71-year-old veteran who participated in the Bay of Pigs Invasion told "It's totally ridiculous. To put somebody's picture there, to me, it's a disgrace to do that."

Bradford, an organizer with the Veterans Memorial at Fountain Park in Leesburg, Fla., snapped photos of the flag and distributed them to fellow veterans and friends. By late afternoon, he and several other veterans delivered a copy of the federal flag code to Nancy Hurlbert, chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party.

"What really upsets me is that the flag had apparently been flying for months and no one had done anything about it," Bradford said. "I've got no hard feelings toward [Hurlbert], but people will be driving by there to make sure it doesn't go up again."

Blog author's comments - This is one of those rare circumstances when it is okay to burn the flag.

Good job veterans, I salute your service to our country, then and now. If the Democrats had their way that’s what our flag would look like.

Obama - Gas Prices, We Made Progress

Obama on gas prices: 'We have made progress'

Washington Examiner -- In a statement today, President Obama insists that under his administration, America has "reduced its reliance on foreign oil" and "increased domestic production." But at this point, there appears to be no strategy to tackle this monster political issue heading into the 2012 elections.

"(W)e have made progress, with imports of foreign oil decreasing by a million barrels a day in the last year alone," Obama said. "Our focus on increased domestic oil and gas production, currently at an eight year high, combined with the historic fuel economy standards we put in place, means that we will continue to reduce our nation’s vulnerability to the ups and downs of the global oil market."

Blog author's comments - Obama expects us to believe him. Today it’s about oil; tomorrow he’ll be telling us how much he cares about Israel.

What Obama has done is thrown away billions of dollars trying to get rid of fossil fuels. If he wanted real progress why did he lobby the Senate Democrats last week to vote against the Keystone pipeline project?

Domestic production is higher in spite of, not because of the Obama administration's policies. The higher production comes from increased drilling on private lands. Oil production on federal lands is down by 11% and natural gas down by 6%.

Sandra Fluke - A Cover Up For Obama

O'Reilly: Former Obama adviser Anita Dunn's
PR firm representing Sandra Fluke

Daily Caller -- Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke is being represented by a former Obama adviser’s PR firm, Bill O’Reilly explained on his Thursday night program “The O’Reilly Factor,” suggesting that the young woman was indirectly planted at the center of the contraception controversy by the Obama administration.

It has been somewhat of a mystery as to how Sandra Fluke came to fame prior to Rush Limbaugh’s ill-advised remarks and why she was chosen by congressional Democrats to give expert testimony on the issue of contraception.

O’Reilly offered his theory Thursday, revealing the unusual circumstances regarding Fluke’s media ascendancy.

Blog author's comments - Sandra Fluke is a Democratic plant. This is a distraction story coordinated by the Obama regime.

This was cover for the Obama administration's decision concerning Catholic organizations and insurance coverage for birth control.

The meeting set up by Pelosi for Sandra Fluke was not a hearing, and Fluke was not giving sworn testimony. There was no vetting, no oath taking, and the audience was stacked with Democrats in support of Fluke.

It's no wonder that Obama called Fluke to give his condolences for the way she was treated after her statements were made in this staged meeting.

Although Georgetown Law student Sandra Fluke testified to the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee last month that contraception can cost a law student $3,000 over three years and that some of her fellow students could not afford it, a Target store only 3 miles from the law school currently sells a month’s supply of birth control pills for only $9 to people who do not have insurance plans covering contraceptives.

That would make the total cost for birth control pills for a student who decided to use them for all three years of law school just $324.

Fluke was the sole witness who appeared on Feb. 23 before an all-Democratic panel chaired by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Obama - Only Concerned About 2012 Election

US offered Israel advanced weaponry
in exchange for delaying Iran attack

NY Post -- WASHINGTON-The US offered to give Israel advanced weaponry, including bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes, in exchange for Israel's agreement not to attack Iranian nuclear sites, Israeli newspaper Maariv reported Thursday.

President Obama reportedly made the offer during Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington this week.

Under the proposed deal, Israel would not attack Iran until 2013, after US elections in November this year. The newspaper cited unnamed Western diplomatic and intelligence sources.

Netanyahu said Monday that sanctions against Iran had not worked, adding that "none of us can afford to wait much longer" in taking action against Iran's controversial nuclear program. Entire column...

Blog author's comments - Israel will do what needs to be done to protect its citizens and sovereignty.

They should have the advanced weaponry but, tying this to an extended political time frame that may not be feasible for Israel makes no sense, except to Obama. He only cares about one thing, a second term as president.

Netanyahu - Israel Is The Master Of Its Fate

Netanyahu To Obama: Israel
'Reserves The Right' To Strike

Washington Free Beacon -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told President Obama that Israel would decide for itself whether to strike Iran.

“My supreme responsibility as prime minister of Israel is to ensure that Israel remains the master of its fate,” Netanyahu told Obama.

In a sit-down earlier today with the president in the Oval Office, Netanyahu pushed back against the administration’s repeated attempts to dissuade Israel from attacking Iran.

“Israel must reserve the right to defend itself and after all, that’s the very purpose of the Jewish state to, restore to the Jewish people control of our destiny,” said Netanyahu, who is meeting with the president in advance of his speech later today before the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s annual policy conference.

Israel reserves the right to strike Iran if need be, Netanyahu said.

The administration has also been pressuring Israel to hold off on an attack against Iran’s nuclear sites, arguing that economic sanctions require time to take hold. Keep reading...

Obama - Change, It Takes Time

This week at a fundraiser Barack Obama compared himself to Mahatna Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.

Blog author's comments - Obama needs a second term to continue his changes to our country, which are destroying it. It did not take long for him to do the damage he has already accomplished.

I hear some so-called conservatives talk as if Obama cannot be defeated. Why give up now - it is eight months until the election. The GOP should be focused on winning it all in 2012. To save our country Obama has to be a one term president.

Andrew Breitbart Has Died (1969-2012)

Big Government -- Andrew Breitbart passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.

Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love.

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:

I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.

Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I’ve lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I’ve gained hundreds, thousands—who knows?—of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night.

Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us.

Blog author's comments - A shock and a shame. He was a warrior for conservative values.

Andrew Breitbart (February 1, 1969 – March 1, 2012) was an American publisher, commentator for the Washington Times, and occasional guest commentator on various news programs, and once served as an editor for the Drudge Report website.

He ran his own news aggregation site,, and five other websites:, Big Hollywood, Big Government, Big Journalism, and Big Peace. Breitbart often appeared as a speaker at Tea Party movement events across the U.S.

Breitbart delivered a fiery speech at CPAC last month
