A Balanced Budget Amendment

Blog author's comments - The video that was a bit of a surprise was Wolf Blitzer of the liberal leaning CNN saying he could understand why Speaker Boehner was upset because Obama has no plan. Perhaps some of the liberals are now seeing what and who they voted for when they elected the current occupant of the White House.

Krauthammer and Ryan also went after the leaders of the Democrat Party. It seems that whenever the members of both parties must come to an agreement on a problem which needs to be solved that the Republicans are the party who is expected to capitulate to the Dems. If they do not they are portrayed as mean and evil people by the liberal media which is an arm of the Democrat Party.

Barack Obama does not like the fact that he is being challenged over his out of control spending and failure to present a bill on the current budget crisis which he is responsible for. Obama must be a one term president.

Jackson Lee Urges Obama - Use 14th Amendment

Shelia Jackson Lee urges Obama to
rule like a dictator on debt ceiling

Examiner - On Thursday, Texas Democrat Shelia Jackson Lee urged the President to act like a dictator and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling using the so-called "14th Amendment" option.

The hyperpartisan Democrat rattled off a laundry list of horribles she claimed would happen if Speaker Boehner's bill passes:

--Medicare would be gone

--Pell Grants would not be available

--Seniors would be put out of nursing homes

--Social Security would be trampled on

--American savings would be lost

--The American dream of buying a home would be lost

--Public transportation like airplanes and trains would be somehow jeopardized

Holding a two-inch think book, Jackson Lee said, "And if we cannot pay our bills Mr. President, use the Constitution and use the 14th amendment."

In a rambling, almost incoherent statement, she said:
"We will not suffer the idea of a one-sided government that takes away entitlements, that caps spending that is for those in need and balances an amendment on the backs of those who are suffering from devastating disasters like states like Missouri, states like Alabama, with all of the flooding..."

"Pray for America," she added.

Jackson Lee is the latest Democrat to call for the President to usurp Congress and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling. - Continue reading...

Blog author's comments - Dem Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and most Democrats are the main reasons we are in the miserable shape we are in. How dare anyone tell Obama, the Dictator-In-Chief, how much money he can spend. This woman is industrial strength stupid. Makes one wonder, but not for long, how people like this are elected to office. I believe most of us know why, the same reason Obama was elected.

Everyone call your bank or credit card company. Tell them that you need your credit limit raised. Tell them that your spending plan for the next ten years includes needing higher and higher credit every year, ending up triple or more what you owe now, because you plan to spend more than you make each and every year. Tell them you and your wife just can’t agree on how to live within your means, and your boss refuses to give you a big raise to pay for the lifestyle. See what they say.

The Democrats will not agree on any budget because it has been presented by a Republican. But, Sheila Jackson Lee, among other Dems can call for the President to raise the debt ceiling by invoking the 14th amendment. Speaker Boehner and many members of the GOP will continue to give in to the Democrats demands and the Democrats will probably win again. As Rush Limbaugh said "There is no reason to compromise with the people who have done the destruction and will do more if they prevail."

Speaker Boehner - On Latest Budget Plan

John Boehner Explains His New Plan to Rush Limbaugh

Blog author's comments - I don't like this latest budget plan. Should Boehner compromise with Obama, I say no! We are being played by the ruling class in Washington.

At this point in time it seems to me that Boehner is ready to pass a bill which is not in the best interest of the country because he is afraid of a government shutdown. If Obama wants to shutdown the government, let him do it. Of course with the help of some members of the media he will attempt to blame the GOP.

Obama's only real goal is to win a second term as president. He does not want a short term solution, he wants a bill which will run through the 2012 election and includes tax increases. Today NBC's Chuck Todd asked Jay Carney the White House press secretary about the White House’s reluctance to release its plan to deal with the national debt and raising the debt ceiling. When Todd pressed for details – “Why not just release it?” – Carney seemed surprised. “You need it written down?”

This latest bill is nothing much at all. It proposes to cut $1.1 trillion over 10 years. That’s a mere cut of $100 billion each year if it ever happens. None of the bills cut into the deficit and all of them raise the debt ceiling. I doubt that this latest attempt by Boehner will pass in the House or Senate.

Obama, You Show Us Your Plan For Debt Crisis

Obama's Op-Ed In USA Today: Go 'big' on debt deal

USA Today - For years now, America has been spending more money than we take in. The result is that we have too much debt on our nation’s credit card — debt that will ultimately weaken our economy, lead to higher interest rates for all Americans, and leave us unable to invest in things like education, or protect vital programs like Medicare.

Neither party is blameless for the decisions that led to this debt, but both parties have a responsibility to come together and solve the problem. That’s what the American people expect of us. Every day, families are figuring out how to stretch their paychecks a little further, sacrifice what they can’t afford, and budget only for what’s truly important. It’s time for Washington to do the same.

In the short term, my No. 1 focus is getting our economy back to a place where businesses can grow and hire. That’s why I want to take a number of steps right away, like extending tax relief for middle-class families and putting construction workers back on the job rebuilding our roads and highways.

But over the last few months, I’ve also said that I’m willing to cut historic amounts of spending in order to reduce our long-term deficits. I’m willing to cut spending on domestic programs to the lowest level in half a century. I’m willing to cut defense spending by hundreds of billions of dollars. I’m willing to take on the rising costs of health care programs like Medicare and Medicaid, so we can meet our obligations to an aging population.

Some of these cuts would eliminate wasteful spending, weapons we don’t need, or fraud and abuse in our health care system. Still, some of the cuts would target worthwhile programs that do a lot of good for our country. They’re cuts that some people in my own party aren’t too happy about, and frankly, I wouldn’t make them if we didn’t have so much debt.

There will be plenty of haggling over the details of all these plans in the days ahead. But right now, we have the opportunity to do something big and meaningful. This debate shouldn't just be about avoiding the catastrophe of not paying our bills and defaulting on our debt. That's the least we should do. This debate offers the chance to put our economy on stronger footing, restore a sense of fairness in our country, and secure a better future for our children. I want to seize that opportunity, and ask Americans of both parties and no party to join me in that effort. - Continue reading...

Blog author's comments - This president is shameless. Obama and his regime have created most of the debt and economy problems we now have and he and his fellow Democrats will not present a plan of their own. Obama wants to continue to spend as he has since he has been in office. He also uses the same manta that all of our problems are the fault of the George W. Bush administration.

Obama is the consummate liar. And he constantly gets away with it because the lapdog media never holds him accountable when his actions don’t match up with his words.

His plan all along is never to cut anything despite repeatedly saying all along that he’s going to make the deepest cuts ever. He’s not proposing anything because his strategy is letting the Republicans say what needs to be cut. Then he’ll be absolutely opposed to those cuts as he takes the podium to tell us all that those cuts are essentially un-American.

Then, Obama says that the Republicans need to go back and decide on a different plan and things to cut and the cycle repeats. In the end, Obama looks like the man who has saved the masses from the devastation proposed by the evil Republicans.

Republicans need to be demanding that Obama itemize what cuts he intends to make and to show us his plan on paper. Unfortunately, Republicans in the House (Boehner and Cantor) and Senate (McConnell) are too weak to do this. And, you can always count on the RINO's in the Senate to come up with some kind of proposal which will let Obama completely off the hook.

MSNBC Host Shows Why They Have No Viewers

MSNBC's Contessa Brewer Attempts To
Discredit GOP Congressman But It Backfired

Mediaite - Republicans are quickly learning that MSNBC might be the network where they can best make a splash by forcefully challenging the network’s hosts. Yesterday Congressman Joe Walsh took on Chris Matthews in a no holds barred memorable showdown, and this morning Republican Congressman Mo Brooks left Contessa Brewer nearly speechless when he swatted down an implication from her that he didn’t know anything about economics.

The awkward moment for Brewer took place during this exchange:

Brewer: “You’re simplifying the issues that were on the plate of the nation at that point. I mean we were looking at going – averting a Depression at that point, everyone the Fed chairman . . .
Brooks: “Well I disagree that we were going into a Depression, but go ahead.”
Brewer: “Do you have a degree in economics?”
Brooks: “Yes Ma’am I do, highest honors.”

Brooks’ biography backs up his educational claim, in that he “graduated from Duke University in three years with a double major in political science and economics, with highest honors in economics.” Brooks also scored some political points defending the House Republicans budget plan as something concrete, unlike the “speeches and talk in generalities, which is what the President and the White House staff, along with the Senate, are doing.”

Blog author's comments - Congressman Brooks has a degree in economics. Judging from her hand-wringing hysteria Contessa Brewer is not even close to being a journalist. They have very low standards and ratings at MSNBC. Very few take this cable channel seriously. Most of the so called journalists in America are an arm of the Obama regime and Democrat Party.

More news concerning MSNBC: The NY Times has reported that MSNBC will hire the professional race baiter Al Sharpton for their 6:00 p.m. time slot. Sharpton should make a good fit with the rest of the liberal hacks at this cable channel. If this is true it was primarily done because of criticism they have received due to their lack of 'minority' hosts.

A Majority Of Voters Want Obamacare Repealed

By a Margin of 2 to 1, Independents Favor Repeal of Obamacare

Weekly Standard - By a margin of 32 points (63 to 31 percent), independents favor the repeal of Obamacare, according to the latest Rasmusen survey of likely voters. Independents who feel “strongly” (one way or the other) support the repeal of Obamacare by a margin of 31 points (52 to 21 percent). Likely voters as a whole favor repeal by a margin of 15 points (54 to 39 percent), while those who feel “strongly” (either way) support repeal by a margin of 17 points (43 to 26 percent).

Moreover, as Rasmussen writes, “Most voters…believe [the overhaul] will increase the federal deficit at the very time President Obama and Congress are trying to find ways to make significant cuts in government spending.” By a margin of better than 3 to 1 (52 to 17 percent), Americans think Obamacare — which would cost over $2 trillion in its real first decade (2014 to 2023), and far more in future decades — would “increase,” rather than “reduce,” deficits.

However, despite Americans’ overwhelming support for repeal and their clear belief that Obamacare would increase deficits, President Obama has refused to allow Obamacare even to be on the table during the debt ceiling negotiations.

Blog author's comments - We did well in 2010 electing conservatives that campaigned on repealing Obamacare. Unfortunately, we won't get much accomplished until we gain control of the Senate and strengthen our control of the House. That needs to happen in 2012.

To really get things rolling we need to gain the presidency, Only then can we realistically get Obamacare repealed and begin to undo the economic damage Obama has done. At this point in time I am not impressed with anyone in the group of GOP presidential hopefuls. If there are other people considering running for the presidential nomination, now is the time to get in the race. If anyone is waiting until 2016, that will be too late.

At a minimum we need to maintain control of the House and win the Senate. But, Obama also has to go. He is by far the worst president in history. The country cannot withstand another term with Obama at the helm.

Obama Is Fear-Mongering on Debt Ceiling

Rep. West: Obama is 'Sad,' 'Pathetic,'
'Fear-Mongering' on Debt Ceiling

CNS News - Rep. Allen West calls President Barack Obama’s actions on the debt ceiling debate “sad”, “pathetic” and “fear-mongering”.
In an interview with, West was asked about his recent comments that the president was fear-mongering when using the issue of Social Security payments in the debt ceiling debate.

“To come out and just say, we’re not going to – I don’t think we’re going to be able pay seniors, I don’t think were going to be able to pay veterans that’s not leadership.

That’s why I said it was sad, it was pathetic, it’s fear-mongering and it’s trying to turn people against other folks who are trying to come up with viable solutions. That’s not what I think a president should be doing,” West said. - Continue reading...

Blog author's comments - As usual, West is correct. A good many of us are aware of the game Obama is playing. I do think that West is a natural leader and unafraid to speak the truth.

Too bad this man is not the President instead of Obama. From what I know of him, America and the world would be extremely better off.

Rush Limbaugh - Explains The McConnell Plan

Rush describes the reality of Republican Senator Mitch McConnell’s proposed debt ceiling plan in four easy steps:

-- Give Obama 2.5 trillion dollars.

-- Chase off the Tea Party activists.

-- Let Obama change the relationship between the Executive and Congress by giving him spending authority.

-- Then declare victory.

Rush continues to say that in reality it’s Obama who is panicking implying that we shouldn’t give up so easily.

Blog author's comments - Not much else to add except that I agree with Limbaugh. I will not attempt to explain the plan put forth by Republican Senator Mitch McConnell except to say I believe it would be a cave in by the GOP.

Obama could break the budget/debt/spending stalemate if he really wanted to. I was hopeful that Senator Mitch McConnell's plan was off the table because both Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi liked it, so it has to be a bad deal for the Republican Party.

Overview of McConnell's plan here:
Reid and McConnell expect to unveil debt-limit 'Plan B' next week.

Obama - "The American People Are Sold"

A portion of the Obama press conference today on debt talks and government spending.

"The American People Are Sold - 80% of the American People Support a Balanced Approach Which Includes Revenues (aka Tax Hikes) and Cuts"

"The notion that the American people are not sold is not the problem.”

Obama tripled the deficit his first year with the failed Obama-Pelosi-Reid stimulus plan.

In Obama’s second year the deficit topped a trillion dollars again.

The Obama deficit this year may reach $1.29 trillion.

Blog author's comments - Obama as the President should have a budget plan. He does not. He wants to continue to spend money we do not have. The Democrats have not passed a spending budget in 807days. By law they are supposed to pass a budget every year.

They won't pass or even present a budget to the American people because they know it will not be acceptable. They do not want the voters to see how much and where they are spending the taxpayer's money.

The lack of taxes didn't cause the problem. We do not have the deficit we have because we don't tax the American people enough. This is entirely a spending problem. No other president has ever brought us anywhere near anything like this, and yet he blames it on the Republicans! More lies from Obama.

If by chance Obama should win a second term his spending will not stop if he is allowed to continue with his agenda and policies for the country.

The GOP winning the White House is of upmost importance in 2012. But what must also be accomplished is retaining control of the House and winning a majority in the Senate.

The election of 2012 is the most important election in the history of the United States.

More From The Lie Of The Day Archives

Lie: The Republicans are simply not willing to do anything but sit on their hands and cross their arms like spoiled children.
--DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz. Does she know that the GOP House passed a budget and the Democrat controlled Senate has not?

Lie: I don't worry about my reelection prospects right now.
--President Obama, who has not stopped campaigning since 2007.

Lie: I'm ready to roll up my sleeves.
--President Obama, who has said this time and time again while throwing out the same old, failing ideas.

Lie: If the wealthiest among us -- and I include myself in this category -- are willing to give up a little bit more, then we can solve this problem.
--President Obama. Apparently arithmetic is not his strength as you could tax everyone making $250,000 or more 100% and it still wouldn't close our budget gap.

Lie: They just want us to get something done that's sensible, that spreads the sacrifice and spreads the prosperity.
--White House Press Secretary Jay Carney. No, Americans want jobs, not more of this "sharing" that hasn't worked over the past two and a half years.

Lie: It is absolutely critical that we get a handle on our finances.
--President Obama. For him, getting a handle on our finances is so important he went to several fundraisers after scolding Congress about getting a debt deal done.

Lie: I want to make sure that I am not engaging in scare tactics and I've tried to be responsible and somewhat restrained so that folks don't get spooked.
--President Obama, who has informed us that the GOP wants to take away Grandma's health insurance to pay for corporate jet flights while they play chicken with our credit rating.

Lie: I believe in an America where our government lives within its means.
--President Obama, who has three consecutive $1 trillion deficits to his name.

Lie: We've got to start working like a team, instead of having the kind of squabbling we see in Washington all the time.
--President Obama, who has done nothing but make the budget debate as partisian as possible.

Obama - Using Scare Tactics In Budget Talks

Obama says he cannot guarantee Social
Security checks will go out on August 3

CBS News - President Obama on Tuesday said he cannot guarantee that retirees will receive their Social Security checks August 3 if Democrats and Republicans in Washington do not reach an agreement on reducing the deficit in the coming weeks.

"I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on August 3rd if we haven't resolved this issue. Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it," Mr. Obama said in an interview with CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley, according to excerpts released by CBS News.

The Senate's top Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said Tuesday that he did not see a way for Republicans and Democrats to come to agreement on meaningful deficit reduction as long as President Obama remains in office.

"After years of discussions and months of negotiations, I have little question that as long as this president is in the Oval Office, a real solution is probably unattainable," McConnell said in remarks on the Senate floor.

The remarks come as negotiations between Republicans and Democrats intensify on long-term deficit reduction ahead of a looming deadline on how much the United States can legally borrow.

Blog author's comments - If the checks don’t go out it will be because Obama has deliberately intervened to stop a process that continues even in the face of a government shutdown.

Straight out of the Democrat’s standard playbook, people should be used to this by now, but it never ceases to amaze me at those that will believe what he says.

Social security and veterans checks will go out. Is there nothing this guy won’t do to push his agenda through?

This is pure rhetoric to scare the elderly, Obama and the democrats did the same thing with Ryan’s Medicare bill. They are looking to ramp up the fear in the electorate. Seniors are a guaranteed voting block and are willing to have their voices heard.

I believe that this guy would hurt the elderly to achieve what he wants. That’s the kind of individual we now have in the White House.

Obama is using the budget talks as a lifeline, if the Republicans cave this may give him a second term. As a result he will do and say anything.

Small Business Executives Reluctant To Hire

Little Hiring Seen by Small Business

Wall Street Journal - WASHINGTON—The U.S. labor market could stay sluggish for a while, with small-business executives reluctant to hire amid the murky economic outlook.

Almost two-thirds—64%—of small-business executives surveyed said they weren't expecting to add to their payrolls in the next year and another 12% planned to cut jobs, according to a U.S. Chamber of Commerce report to be released Monday. Just 19% said they would expand their work forces.

This comes after a Labor Department report Friday showed employers added few jobs in June, and unemployment rose to 9.2%. The bleak figures joined other data showing the recovery losing momentum in recent months, which has caused many analysts and policy makers to lower their forecasts for economic growth in the second half of the year.

More than half of the small-business executives in the June 27-30 survey cited economic uncertainty as the main reason for holding back on hiring. About a third blamed lack of sales, while just 7% pointed to problems getting credit. - Continue reading...

U.S. Payrolls Grow at Slowest Pace in Nine Months as Jobless Rate Climbs

Top Obama Advisor Says Unemployment Won't Be Key in 2012

Blog author's comments - Unemployment at 9.2%, 64% of small business execs won’t be hiring and 12% of small business execs planning cuts. This is what we get when the country votes for and elects a Socialist who’s never had a real job to be the leader of our country.

What is pathetic about Obama - he apparently believes he has done a good job and what he has done in less than three years should have no adverse effect on him in the 2012 election.

It's past time for the Republican conservatives to inform the voters what Obama and the Democrat Party have done to the economy and want to continue to do. The only way to stop what is happening is to bounce Obama and his regime out of Washington.

Is AG Holder Lying About Operation Gunrunner?

Attorney General Eric Holder
Bragged About Operation Gunrunner in 2009

Washington Examiner - On May 3, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder testified before House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman Darrell Issa's committee that he only learned about the government's sale of weapons to Mexican drug cartels "in the last few weeks."

But Big Government found a 2009 speech by Holder on the Department of Justice's own website that proves the attorney general was well aware of Operation Gunrunner back in 2009.

The problem with Holder’s feigned ignorance is that he gave a speech in Cuernavaca, Mexico, on April 2, 2009, in which he boasted about Operation 'Gunrunner” and told Mexican authorities of everything he was doing to insure its success.

When questioned by the media, Holder also denied knowing anything about Gunrunner. "Holder's office at first vehemently denied ATF has ever knowingly allowed weapons to get into the hands of suspected gunrunners for Mexico's drug cartels," CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reported.

But at the arms trafficking conference in Cuernavaca, Holder not only acknowledged the program, he bragged that he was in the process of expanding it.

"Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. DHS is making similar commitments, as Secretary Napolitano will detail."

So Holder's May 3rd denial appears to be refuted by his own words.

With 43 automatic weapons with serial numbers traced back to the ATF operation seized during a single traffic stop in Phoenix, and others showing up in crimes throughout Arizona, the ATF director now claims that Holder's department is obstructing the congressional investigation.

Blog author's comments - Lying to Congress should get you in big trouble, except of course anyone in the Obama regime. It is time to rid ourselves of this disgrace! Holder has got to go! How can there be a legitimate justice system when the Attorney General is Eric Holder?

Issa and Congress better not let this slide. We need Holder out. Because of Obama a man of Holder's caliber is in charge of our DOJ. Gun running is just a little thing by Obama’s standards. The only question is will this unravel quickly enough before the liberal media can bury the story?

I seriously doubt that Obama will throw Holder 'under the bus', he will instead defend him. You can be sure the cover up of Holder is well under way.

The Obama administration is lax when it comes to enforcing gun laws, says Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the House committee that is investigating a botched gun-tracking operation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

He added, under the Obama administration, "there seems to be a 'don't bother to enforce at all' policy, so that disturbs us -- that there's less gun enforcement about illegal gun transactions under an administration that theoretically is more for gun control."

Economy and Unemployment - Not Obama's Fault

Obama: Don't Look At Me, It's Not My Fault

Fox News - President Obama delivered a dreary statement in the Rose Garden this morning after a dismal jobs report, which showed the US economy adding just 18,000 jobs in June, the unemployment rate spiking up to 9.2%. A year after the WH proclaimed "recovery summer,: and two years after a trillion dollar "stimulus" program, the President blamed a series of "headwinds" for what he described as a "rocky" "recovery."

Obama said Greece, natural disasters, high gas prices, state budget cuts and uncertainty about the debt ceiling were prohibiting the economy from creating more jobs, which critics called just more finger-pointing from the White House "Streamlining the patent process" and new infrastructure spending were a few solutions to the jobs crisis offered by the President this morning, leaving many economists scratching their heads.

Looking detached, Mr. Obama plodded back into the White House with his head down, without acknowledging any responsibility for the struggling economy and appearing to some critics extremely out of touch.

Blog author's comments - The only reason there is no recovery is Obama still has his job. At least he didn’t blame Bush. Obama is much worse than idiotic - he’s evil.

The arrogance of this guy knows no bounds. To stand up before us and continually tell these lies shows you what he thinks of the intelligence of the American people. I guess in his mind we are all the “useful idiots”. We must vote Obama and his regime out of Washington in 2012.

Poll: Defeating Obama 'Trumps Ideological Purity'

Poll: Beating Obama 'trumps
ideological purity' for Iowa GOP

Des Moines Register - A new poll conducted by former George W. Bush pollister Jan van Lohuizen shows that likely Iowa caucus goers feel it’s more important that President Obama be defeated in 2012 than for a candidate they agree with to take office.

The poll, commissioned by The Iowa Republican, a conservative news site, telephoned 500 likely caucus goers last week. The poll has a margin of error of ± 4.4 percent.

A new statewide Iowa Caucus poll recently commissioned by shows that likely Republican caucus goers are interested in one thing above all else–defeating President Obama in November of 2012.

By a two to one margin, the need to beat President Obama trumps ideological purity.

Blog author's comments - There cannot be any disagreement among GOP voters that Obama must be defeated. The question is, how - with an actual conservative, or a RINO? I would of course prefer a conservative, but would settle for any winner of the Republican Party if they dethroned Obama.

The Presidency is of upmost importance, but legislation gets passed in the House and the Senate. The GOP needs to maintain control of the House and hopefully win control of the Senate. Also, I think the Republicans should pay attention to the appeal of the Tea Parties who I believe played a large roll in the outcome of the midterm elections.

Obama - 'It's Good To Be Out of Washington'

Obama Hates Washington D.C.- Send Him Home

Blog author's comments - Honestly Obama, we also would find it good for you to get out of Washington, and never come back. I don’t care where you go or what you do, just go.

There will be many voters in 2012 who will be trying their best to see that Obama is no longer in Washington. Sadly he knows he needs four more years to complete the destruction of the greatest nation ever. That certainly seems to be his goal thus far.

Former Defense Dept. Official: NYT

Obama Blames Congress For Debt

Obama Blames Congress For the Record Debt He Created

Barack Obama increased the national debt by over $3 trillion in just over 2 years.

Blog author's comments - This shows the type of person our country has as president. He can stand there and lie to us knowing full well that we have been watching what he has done for over two years.

It is difficult to believe that anyone besides his hard core base is dumb enough to believe him. They will swallow everything he says.

The Democratically controlled congress did allow his spending. No matter what Obama wanted the Reid/Pelosi gang put it into law. Our only salvation is to remove him from office in 2012.
