They should have been involved immediately in finding a solution to stem the BP leak in the Gulf of Mexico. The oil is still leaking after almost six weeks, as of this writing it is day 41, and now we hear from Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi.
She is doing nothing to help the situation but has now placed the blame for the oil leak on George W. Bush. Hey "Stretch", the well is still leaking, blaming Bush is not going to cap the leak. When the brain trust of this administration cannot find an easy solution to a problem, they use the same old play book, they either blame Bush or throw money at the problem. This time, that won't work.
The Washington Examiner reports:Pelosi cannot defend the Obama administration's lack of response to the BP oil crisis, so she plays the 'blame game.' 'San Fran Nan', we are tired of the blame Bush rhetoric. Barack Obama is now in charge, he is the President, but his administration apparently is not close to finding a solution to the extremely severe problem which still exists.
"Many of the people appointed to the Bush administration are still burrowed in the agencies that are supposed to oversee the [oil] industry. "Pelosi said when asked if Democrats could have prevented or mitigated the crisis by keeping a closer watch on the industry.
The Speaker added, "the cozy relationship between the Bush administration's agency leadership and the industry is clear...I've heard no complaints from my members about the way the president has handled it." Pelosi stated.
On Friday "The Washington Examiner" asked Nancy Pelosi's office to release a list of the people Bush appointed that she was referring to. I doubt that we will ever see a list.
Her statement was simply 'cover fire' because Obama has a problem he cannot solve, he is looking extremely bad, he has shown very little leadership, and this problem is his responsibility.

Democratic Congressman Joe Sestak (D-PA) said months ago that to ensure he would not run against Arlen Spector in the Democratic primary election, he was offered a high-ranking job. It was alleged that the job was the position of Secretary of the Navy. We have now been told by the White House that the job offer was an unpaid, advisory position.
Sestak admitted to the press an offer was made, but for months the White House press secretary, Robert Gibbs continued to deflect the question saying "nothing inappropriate happened." Obama told Fox News, "I can assure the public that nothing improper took place. But as I said, there will be a response shortly on that issue."
Obama's promise while campaigning, for a government of transparency and cleaner politics was dangled in front of the young and naive voters. This promise does not seem to be quite true.
The rumor was that Obama asked Bill Clinton to make the job offer. Apparently, according to the White House it was Bill Clinton who did make the offer. He was asked to do so by someone in the White House. Probably, Rahm Emanuel, but clearly Obama initiated the idea and told Emanuel to ask Clinton to make the offer to Sestak.
Obama has clean hands at all times, right?
Mr. Sestak of course declined the offer and went on to win the primary election earlier this month. This will finally put an end to the job of the flip-flopper from one party to the next, Arlen Spector. Once again there was a White House 'cover up.' Did Obama lie? If so, what's new?
A side note to all of this and another rumor. Rep. Joe Sestak could have been offered a job on the President's Intelligence Advisory Board. But Sestak would not have been eligible for this job. If Bill Clinton made this offer, it could not have happened as long as Sestak remained a member of congress.

This cartoon does a good job of portraying Obama's view of himself as the 'Savior' of our country. I think he sees himself as a person who can do no wrong. He feels he is the best and brightest President our country has ever had.
Anything which does not go as planned during his time in office, will never be his fault. He will continue to point the finger at whomever is available and the easy target. He will never accept blame. He is already a legend in his own mind.
Obama continues to blame George W. Bush for the damage Obama and his administration have already done to the country during his first two years in office. This will not stop. His liberal base will always agree with him no matter what he says or does. The majority of the media will not let him fail.
Obama has a quest for power. He came to Washington to change everything that made the country great. He wants to dismantle capitalism. He cannot tell the people what his ambitions for the country are because most of them would not agree with him. I hope by now that many who voted for him understand what a huge mistake they made.He wants to level the playing field with income redistribution and punish the achievers of society. He would like to model the USA to Great Britain or perhaps Canada. He ran as a moderate, but as we have seen so far, he will govern from the hard left. Watch what he does, not what he says.

Obama and his administration have up to this point not treated the BP oil spill as though it was all that important to them. Hey Obama, where have you been? Why have you not been pushing BP and consulting any and all of the experts in the world for a way to cap this well and stop the oil leak? I assume he had more important issues to deal with. The man-child insists he has been on the job since day one.
On "Good Morning America" the Democrat strategist James Carville said about the current regime. The "political stupidity is unbelievable. Carville also said, "the president doesn't get down there in the middle of this, I have no idea why they did not seize this thing and I have no idea of why their attitude was so hands off here."
This Thursday, Obama will announce new tactics his government will take to prevent any future oil spills. On Friday Obama will visit the gulf coast. Only his second visit since the start of the spill which was over five weeks ago.
Carville said the Obama response to the BP spill can only be called "lackadaisical." Obama is blaming the Bush administration when he should have done more and his administration should have worked closely with BP to come up with a way to cap the spill.
We are into week six of this oil spill, now BP has come up with an idea which could stop the leak. They have run the idea past the Coast Guard and they have said, okay, try it. But who will take credit for the solution if BP's fix works? Barack Hussein Obama.
He will tell us that he has been on top of this from the beginning. The man is a total incompetent who would rather point fingers than do the work to fix the problem and find a solution. This is one he cannot fix by passing a bill to spend billions of dollars.
Karl Rove has said: "Could this be Mr. Obama's Katrina?"
After hurricane Katrina, federal obligation was to "support State and local assistance efforts" by providing whatever resources a governor requests and then writing checks for the cleanup. Mr. Bush had to deal with a Louisiana governor and a New Orleans mayor who were, by federal law, in charge. They did not take action before the storm hit and were not able to handle the crisis.
The BP oil well was drilled in Federal waters, so Washington, not Louisiana should be in charge. It is the responsibility of the Obama administration. But once BP comes up with a fix, the President will find a way to take the credit.

Summary of Obama’s oil spill remarks at today's press conference: Bush at fault. Cozy regulators at fault.
Solution: More government, no more drilling.
Obama defends his sluggish response. Bottom line: You all are too stupid and uninformed to realize that this has been his “highest priority” and that the White House has been “singularly focused” on the oil spill.
Obama: “Those who think we were slow in our response or lacked urgency don’t know the facts.” “I’m confident that people are going to look back and say that this administration was on top of what was an unprecedented crisis.”

The Williams sisters are two very good American professional tennis players. Venus Williams born 1980, seven-time Grand Slam title winner (singles), and Serena Williams born 1981, twelve-time Grand Slam title winner (singles). The Williams sisters are ranked Nos. 1 & 2 at the French Open this year.
The following photos of Venus Williams were taken at the French Open this past Sunday. She eaasily won her first round match, but it was not her tennis performance that drew her the attention she received. It was her tennis outfit which gave the illusion of being a see-through fabric.
After viewing more photos, which I have included, one can see that this was not the case, but apparently she wanted that illusion. Why else would she design a tennis outfit like the one she wore?
This was the first picture I saw of her (top photo) in this tennis outfit. I thought - the woman is playing tennis in a thong?

Because of the new immigration law in Arizona, Rep. Joe Baca, Democrat from California, is boycotting Arizona. Baca has ordered and is distributing wristbands much like the braceletes promoted by Lance Armstrong and his 'LiveStrong' braclets.
The big difference is that Rep. Baca's bracelets promote the denunciation of the immigration law passed by the state of Arizona. The bracelets colors are red, yellow and blue, the colors of Arizona's flag. They are to be worn as a show of solidarity against the 'controversial' Arizona law. In Washington, Baca has gotten House Speaker Pelosi and most members of the Democratic leadership to wear them at a recent fundraiser for Baca. That's right folks, they are now wearing the bracelets with pride. See Steny Hoyer (D-MD) above, looks as though he certainly enjoys his new bracelet.
The continual criticism of a state is not enough for the Democrats, now they are wearing their protest bracelets. As part of Baca's boycott, he refuses to fly through Phoenix on his weekly trips to and from Washington. I have to believe the people of Arizona are extremely happy about that.
Suggestion for Rep. Baca and his buddies, why not do your jobs and actually read the Arizona bill and take a peak at the polls. You may find that most of the country supports Arizona and believes the new immigration bill to be a good idea.

I do have to admit when browsing and viewing many blogs over the years, I have discovered that these folks are out there in large numbers. This is one of the reasons we now find our country in the shape it is in.
There are a few blogs I will check from time to time and the same people are posting many of the same views as the caller to the Savage talk show. This will happen on a daily basis and many are educated people. They walk amongst us and they can vote.
A brief Michael Savage biography:
Michael Alan Weiner, better known by his pseudonym Michael Savage, is an American radio host, best-selling author, and conservative political commentator. He is the host of The Savage Nation, a nationally-syndicated talk show that airs throughout the United States on Talk Radio Network.
The Savage Nation has an audience of 8 to 10 million listeners on 350 stations across the United States, making it the fourth most listened to radio talk show in the country, He holds master's degrees in medical botany and medical anthropology and he earned a Ph.D from the University of California, Berkeley.
Savage has summarized his political philosophy in three words: borders, language, and culture. He outspokenly opposes illegal immigration to the United States, supports the English-only movement and argues that Liberalism and Progressivism are degrading American culture.

Calderon believes Arizona's law to be "discriminatory”, because it requires law enforcement officers to determine the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being an illegal immigrant, provided they are already in contact with that person for another violation.
The police can’t randomly stop people and demand proof of citizenship which would be racial profiling. The law prohibits this. Our President Barack Obama agrees with Mexican President Felipe Calderon with regard to Arizona's new law. Neither of them believe it should exist.
The Mexican immigration law states that law enforcement officials are “required to demand that foreigners prove their legal presence in the country before attending to any issues.”What Obama is not saying, and I have said in other posts, is that he wants to make all the illegals legal. It's called amnesty. For Obama, more illegal immigrants = more votes for the Democrats. He sees another 12 million Democrat voters if he can accomplish that. This would probably keep the Democrats in power forever.
Calderon wants Obama and Congress to allow Mexican immigrants to enter our country, and the Arizona law removed. I was somewhat surprised that Obama did not bow to the guy.
In the video Calderon admits to CNN that Mexico demands papers and deports illegals. Same guy who stood with Obama and said that our immigration laws and the new law passed in Arizona need to be changed.
This is how Mexico deals with their illegal immigration problems. Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:
- in the country legally
- have the means to sustain themselves economically
- not destined to be burdens on society
- of economic and social benefit to society
- of good character and have no criminal records
- contribute to the general well-being of the nation
Hey Obama, why can't we do this?

I never watch network news shows but, if by chance I hear that she will be making an appearance on a radio talk show, I will listen to the show. She is a very bright and often humorous lady, particularly when she is skewering her liberal opponents.
I also believe her writing to be quite good. It is serious and to the point, with just enough sarcasm and humor thrown in to always make the subject interesting. If you want to start an argument with a Democrat all that is required is the mention of her name.
Ann Coulter is an American constitutional attorney, conservative social and political commentator, best selling author and syndicated columnist. She frequently appears on television, radio, and as a speaker at public and private events. Well-known for her right-wing political opinions and the controversial ways in which she defends them, Coulter is a skilled debater in speech or writing who likes to "stir up the pot" and, unlike "broadcasters," does not "pretend to be impartial or balanced."Coulter has, on occasion, responded with insulting remarks towards hecklers and protestors who attend her speeches because - they deserve it. I believe that she is an attractive lady and also 'thick skinned' when it comes to taking on her opponents and defending her opinions.
Coulter is a best selling author of seven books, and as mentioned, publishes a weekly syndicated newspaper column. She has been described as "Rush Limbaugh in a miniskirt". She also makes numerous public appearances, speaking on television and radio talk shows, as well as on college campuses, receiving both praise and protest.
A Few Quotes From Ann Coulter:
- Democrats always assure us that deterrence will work, but when the time comes to deter, they're against it.
- I love to engage in repartee with people who are stupider than I am.
- I might be in favor of national healthcare if it required all Democrats to get their heads examined.
- I've decided to cut out the part of the speech where I say anything nice about Democrats.
- If John Kerry had a dollar for every time he bragged about serving in Vietnam - oh wait, he does.
- If only Al Sharpton were around, Lincoln would have known he was a victim of racism.
- If we're so cruel to minorities, why do they keep coming here? Why aren't they sneaking across the Mexican border to make their way to the Taliban?.
- Ironically, since Obama was elected, for the first time in my life I'm sometimes not proud of my country.
- Liberals are stalwart defenders of civil liberties - provided we're only talking about criminals.
- Political debate with liberals is basically impossible in America today because liberals are calling names while conservatives are trying to make arguments.
- The New York Times editorial page is like a Ouija board that has only three answers, no matter what the question. The answers are: higher taxes, more restrictions on political speech and stricter gun control.
- When every one of your arguments is characterized as an attempt to bring back slavery or resegregate lunch counters, it's a little hard to have any sort of productive debate.
- Whether they are defending the Soviet Union or bleating for Saddam Hussein, liberals are always against America. They are either traitors or idiots, and on the matter of America's self-preservation, the difference is irrelevant.
- While the form of treachery varies slightly from case to case, liberals always manage to take the position that most undermines American security.

Holder is another one of the Obama appointees who will say and do whatever it takes to attain the goals of the Obama regime. Reading the law is the duty of the U.S. Attorney General. Holder has also made it clear that his Justice Department is considering a lawsuit to block the legislation from taking effect.
"I’ve just expressed concerns on the basis of what I’ve heard about the law. But I’m not in a position to say at this point, not having read the law, not having had the chance to interact with people doing the review, exactly what my position is." Mr. Holder told the House Judiciary Committee. Holder has a concern that there could be profiling involved even though the bill clearly addresses that issue.
My personal belief is that racial profiling should be used in Arizona and in most other states where there are high crime areas. The reason liberals fear profiling is because - it works!Hopefully the new Arizona immigration bill will help the state in their battle to curtail the illegals and the problems many bring to the state. Perhaps other states will soon adopt similar laws.

'Hardball', a liberal news show on MSNBC, issued an invitation to any Republican officeholder to come on his show and denounce Rush Limbaugh.
He claims Limbaugh has gone too far with his criticism of Barack Hussein Obama and the Democratic party. Matthews wanted someone, anyone, within the GOP ranks to tell the country that Rush Limbaugh is wrong and should not be held in such high esteem as a conservative, and a driving force for conserative values for our country.
It was Rush Limbaugh, when Obama was elected President. who said "I hope he fails." I believe that after less than two years, more people are also agreeing with him. When he said, "I hope he fails" what he was referring to was Obama's policies and how Obama wants to reshape the country. It has not taken very long to prove that Rush Limbaugh was right again.
After two days, Matthews announced that he had no takers on his invitation for a Limbaugh basher. I have to believe that Rush Limbaugh is correct when he said that one reason Matthews could not find anyone to come 0n his show was that no one knew he had issued the invitation. Nobody watches the show. Let's be honest, who watches MSNBC and the extreme liberal Chris Matthews? Only the hard core liberals who want socialism for the country.
Bud Selig, the MLB baseball commissioner said that next year's All-Star Game will not be moved from Phoenix, Arizona.
Because of the new immigration law which was recently passed and desperately needed by the state to do the job the Federal government will not do, Arizona passed their law. Selig has been asked by many to pull the game out of Arizona. Let us hope Bud Selig does not cave to those who want amnesty for the illegal aliens.
Selig defended baseball's record on minority hiring. Selig said "apparently all the people around and in minority communities think we're doing OK. That's the issue, and that's the answer," he said. I told the clubs today: "Be proud of what we've done." They are. We should. And that's our answer. "We control our own fate, and we've done very well."
Ozzie Guillen. the Chicago White Sox manager, said he wouldn't participate in next year's All-Star Game if it remains in Arizona, because the law empowers the police to determine a person's immigration status. Ozzie Guillen, have you already been invited to Arizonat and the game there next year?
Ozzie, what would you be doing without MLB? You should be thankful you are making the large salary courtesy of baseball. Apparently you are not an illegal but you have no problem with your fellow countrymen being given a free pass to our country. Perhaps you could spend some time helping the illegal's attain 'legal' citzenship to this country.

At that time McCain-Kennedy may have used other phrases like "path to citizenship" and "temporary worker." The McCain-Kennedy bill still offered legal status to illegal immigrants. Now he wants to "complete the danged fence."I was not aware the Federal government had ever made much of a start on said fence. With Obama at the helm for now, nothing will be done to secure our borders. This is precisely why Arizona passed their own law to try to protect themselves from being overrun by the illegals. McCain is another RINO I would like to see defeated by a true 'conservative' Republican candidate.
The man on the left in the above cartoon strip, is probably a liberal who wants to boycott the state of Arizona, because of the new law which they have passed. The illegals are breaking the existing law and the Federal government is no help. But, the protester no doubt, believes it to be a 'racist' law.
The lady on the right is voicing her concerns as a backer of the 'Tea Party' movement. She is possibly a supporter of the Arizona law. She is no doubt more of a conservative thinking individual, but still expressing her views.
I have noticed for many years, that the liberals seem to me to be the more hostile of the two party systems of politics. Yet, they see themselves as the party who wants to help those in need, the kinder gentler people. They also portray the Republican Party as the party of the rich, who do not care for those in our society and around the world, who for one reason or another, require help or financial assistance.
The 'newscasters', in all seriousness, spew their talking points and one sided liberal views and expect us to believe them. They view themselves as 'professional journalists' and they know what is best for us.
I choose to educate myself concerning politics and the news via on-line national blogs and radio talk shows which I feel I can trust. The reason I feel this trust is because the left are obviously out to take the conservative shows and blogs down. They don't want anyone to be told the truth about so many issues which affect all of us and our country. The few who I trust are viewed by the left as the enemy. So, I guess I am also the enemy. I can live with that.

Both President Clinton and George W. Bush never took the open borders to our country seriously, shame on them. Of course, as long as Obama is in office the borders will remain open and this is why Arizona and now more states are adopting laws of their own. If the Federal government will not take the action needed, the states have to protect themselves.
I keep preaching over and over that if with some luck, a small portion of the planned damage to our country can be stalled until the November 2010 election, we have a chance with this election to stop much of what the Democrats want to do to this once great country. Folks, if we don't turn out and vote for the right people in November, our lives and those of the young people will be forever changed for the worse.
If Obama manages two terms in office, he will in eight years change this country forever. It has to be stopped. Obama of course, does not care for the new Arizona bill. What Obama sees in an illegal is a chance to give them all amnesty, keep the borders open and pick up millions of voters who will make sure the Democrats stay in office forever.

I include a few quotes from him and a short video of an interview he gave.
Well, I really should not call it an interview, the host asked two questions and Ted Nugent did the rest of the 'interview' by himself. He feels very strongly concerning gun rights as you will see if you watch the video.
Theodore Anthony "Ted" Nugent (born December 13, 1948) is an American hard rock guitarist and vocalist from Detroit, Michigan. He originally gained fame as the lead guitarist of The Amboy Dukes.
He is also noted for his vocal conservative political views and his ardent defense of hunting, conservation, and unrestricted gun-ownership.
Nugent has released more than 34 albums, and he has sold a career total of over 30 million records. He is still actively touring and playing his music.
Quotes attributed to Ted Nugent:
-"The war is coming to the streets of America and if you are not keeping and bearing and practicing with your arms then you will be helpless and you will be the victim of evil. "
-"There are hundreds of millions of gun owners in this country, and not one of them will have an accident today. The only misuse of guns comes in environments where there are drugs, alcohol, bad parents, and undisciplined children. Period."
If he ran for an office, I would vote for him.

The government has said, they are keeping a close watch on these people. There is no telling what they are capable of and what they might do. It's just not correct for them to disagree with the policies of President Barack Obama and his plan to remake this country. All the right-wingers do is try and stand in the way of the real change the Democrats want for the country.
Uh, yeah right!

Janet Napolitano did not know that her Defense Department had the equipment which might be helpful in dealing with the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The deep water oil rig which exploded April 20 is gushing over 200,000 gallons of crude oil into the gulf each day. It may take weeks or months to seal the leak. In the meantime the coast of Louisiana will surely suffer. The residents, both the people and wildlife will be severely affected. Most importantly we cannot forget the 11 men who lost their lives when the oil rig exploded.
The Department of Homeland Security waited a week after the spill began to declare it "a spill of national significance." White house officials said that the scope of the tragedy was not initially obvious. So, I assume that is why it took both Napolitano and Obama so long to even do a fly over of the area. I suppose Obama had more pressing issues to handle, such as his golf game.
Why did it take so long for Obama to respond to this tragedy? Why are we not hearing from the main stream media who should be asking the hard questions of Obama and Napolitano. I can only imagine if this had occurred on the watch of George W. Bush, the media outcry would have been deafening.
It says on the White House website, "President Obama will keep the broken promises to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coat," (Obama will never stop blaming Bush).
Also "He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur."
Apparently these are the standards Obama wants to be judged by, so we will do so.
Anyone that has followed politics even since the election of Barack Obama, has heard the many ignorant statements Janet Napolitano has made when anything which affects her department needs to be dealt with. Sadly, I have even seen her name on Obamas list of possible Supreme Court Justice candidates.
Elections do have consequences and because of the outcome in 2008, our country will pay a huge price both monetarily but more importantly because of the plans which Obama has to remake the country into something he feels it should be. Hopefully we are able to stop some of the bleeding this coming November. We need to take back the House and some seats in the Senate. This may be our last chance.

Over this past week there has been much criticism of Arizona's new immigration law. Obviously the following list of quotes and their sources should not surprise anyone. Those who have read the bill and are aware of the number of illegals in Arizona should understand why the state passed the bill. The residents and politicians of all border states have been dealing with more crime and expense for decades because those in the Federal government have refused to enforce the existing law which is already on the books.
Arizona is merely upholding Federal law. If a police officer has detained a suspect for some other infraction of the law he or she is to determine the immigration status of the person. The officers cannot simply pull over a car to check if the people in the car are illegals.
Of course the Democrats will disagree because they see a day when the illegals are given amnesty and will vote for the Democrats. If you read the law it is not unconstitutional. Arizona is merely trying to protect themselves from being overrun even more by illegals. Many of these people have a criminal background or have their hand out and want to be taken care of.
Bill Clinton and George W. Bush knew of the problem but refused to close the borders. We all know Obama will do nothing with regard to border control.
1. “The statute requires police officers to stop and question anyone who looks like an illegal immigrant.”
-New York Times editorial
2. “As the Arizona abomination makes clear, there is a desperate need for federal immigration action to stop the country from turning into a nation of vigilantes suspicious of anybody with dark skin.”
-Dana Milbank, Washington Post
3. “I can’t imagine Arizonans now reverting to German Nazi and Russian Communist techniques whereby people are required to turn one another in to the authorities on any suspicion of documentation.”
-Cardinal Roger Mahony
4. “This law creates a suspect class, based in part on ethnicity, considered guilty until they prove themselves innocent. It makes it harder for illegal immigrants to live without scrutiny — but it also makes it harder for some American citizens to live without suspicion and humiliation. Americans are not accustomed to the command ‘Your papers, please,’ however politely delivered. The distinctly American response to such a request would be ‘Go to hell,’ and then ‘See you in court.’”
-Michael Gerson, Washington Post
5. “In case the phrase ‘lawful contact’ makes it appear as if the police are authorized to act only if they observe an undocumented-looking person actually committing a crime, another section strips the statute of even that fig leaf of reassurance. ‘A person is guilty of trespassing,’ the law provides, by being ‘present on any public or private land in this state’ while lacking authorization to be in the United States — a new crime of breathing while undocumented.”
-Linda Greenhouse, New York Times
(Greenhouse’s “trespassing” allegation was based on an early version of the Arizona bill that was not the bill that became law. Her mistake was later removed from the Times site)
6. “Federal law treats illegal immigration as a civil violation; Arizona law criminalizes it by using the legally dubious mechanism of equating the mere presence of undocumented immigrants with trespassing.”
-Washington Post editorial
(This editorial makes the same mistake as Linda Greenhouse’s “trespassing” column above.)
7. “I am saddened today at the prospect of a young Hispanic immigrant in Arizona going to the grocery store and forgetting to bring her passport and immigration documents with her. I cannot be dispassionate about the fact that the very act of her being in the grocery store will soon be a crime in the state she lives in…An immigrant who is charged with the crime of trespassing for simply being in a community without his papers on him is being told he is committing a crime by simply being.”
-Bishop Desmond Tutu, Huffington Post
(Tutu is perhaps relying on the erroneous information in the New York Times and Washington Post above.)
8. “It harkens back to apartheid where all black people in South Africa were required to carry documents in order to move from one part of town to another.”
-Cynthia Tucker, Atlanta Journal - Constitution, on ABC's "This Week"
9. “You can imagine, if you are a Hispanic American in Arizona…suddenly, if you don’t have your papers and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re going to be harassed.”
-President Barack Obama
10. “This week, Arizona signed the toughest illegal immigration law in the country which will allow police to demand identification papers from anyone they suspect is in the country illegally. I know there’s some people in Arizona worried that Obama is acting like Hitler, but could we all agree that there’s nothing more Nazi than saying ‘Show me your papers?’ There’s never been a World War II movie that didn’t include the line ’show me your papers.’ It’s their catchphrase. Every time someone says ’show me your papers,’ Hitler’s family gets a residual check. So heads up, Arizona; that’s fascism. I know, I know, it’s a dry fascism, but it’s still fascism.”
-Seith Myers, "Saturday Night Live"

Because of his age they did not want to perform an operation on Ernest because they did not know how he would react to the anesthetic, so the idea of lenses seems to have worked just fine for him.
The manager of the center Paula Sadler said the vision of Ernest was quite bad and he had trouble seeing where he was going . "Since he was fitted with the contact lenses his eyes have opened up and he has a new lease on life." "The lenses have worked wonders."

This occurred along a major smuggling corridor in the Arizona desert.
He was shot with an AK-47 but luckily his wound was not considered serious. The Democrats, including our President Barack Obama, do not agree with the new law which will hopefully go into affect in late Summer in the state of Arizona.
This law will allow the Arizona police officers to ask for proof of citizenship of a suspected illegal during a routine stop of the person for another matter such as a traffic violation. Civil rights activists believe this new law will lead to racial profiling. In my opinion racial profiling is exactly what is required in dealing with many people in our society who refuse to live by our laws.
The Michael Ramirez cartoon depics what would be a welcome respite to the state of Arizona and many other states. One would only hope that the illegals would boycott these states and go away, sorry it will not happen.
Of course the civil rights folks ignore the crime and cost of illegals in many states. What they see in an illegal is a future Democrat voter, when the Democrats begin the push for passing an amnesty bill which will make the illegals, legal citizens.
When and if this happens, the taxpayers will have even more people for which they will have to fund welfare, housing, food stamps, health care etc. Sadly, our President and the liberal left do not find a problem with this. This is what they want for our society, more people dependent on the government
