Constitution Not Understood - Because Its Old

Ezra Klein: Founder of "JournoList" - The Constitution is
Difficult to Understand Because it's Over 100 Years Old

The “Journolist” is a listserv comprised of several hundred top liberal journalists from influential American and British media outlets, as well as like-minded professors, union reps and activists.

Leftist and WaPo journalist Ezra Klein founded Journolist with far left crank Joe Klein from TIME magazine in February of 2007.

Klein admitted that Journolist was an “insulated space where the lure of a smart, ongoing conversation would encourage journalists, policy experts and assorted other observers to share their insights with one another.”

But, you had to be a leftist to join this group. It was an exclusive club. And, it grew to include 400 of the most prominent leftist American journalists who shared ideas and helped spin the far left narrative in the state-run media.

This is where far left cranks colluded to spit out the DNC’s talking points and to defend President Barack Obama’s radical past and socialist agenda. Ezra Klein reportedly shut down Journolist on June 28, 2010.

Blog author's comments - Klein said the Constitution is confusing because it was written more than 100 years ago. So everyone has their own opinion of what the Constitution means?

The US Constitution was written by the founders of this nation. It serves as the blueprint for how this country works. Too bad that many members of the Obama regime want to ignore it or rewrite it.

Our Supreme Court and lower courts are supposed to rule according to the Constitution. Our President swears in and swears to defend the Constitution. And nobody understands it?

The problem with the left is they clearly know what the Constitution means, they just don't agree with it and want to change it to fit their policies and agenda. The US Constitution is very hard to fit into a socialist society because it opposes socialism. Is that the reason for the confusion by the left?

I assume they understand the thousands of pages of Obamacare and the numerous socialist policies each with thousands of pages which no one who voted on them has read.

We have lost an entire generation to brain washing. This is what passes for a journalist these days. The Founding Fathers understood tyranny. They did not want it for our country.

The left is at war with Republicans and also at war with the Constitution, which means they’re at war with America.

It is way past time for conservatives to fight back because this country is at a very precarious time in its history. If we allow the left to win, we will lose everything the Founding Fathers wanted for our country and its citizens.

Conservative vs. Liberal

A Father & Daughter Conversation

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be very liberal, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch conservative, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?" She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father’s suggestion, angrily fired back, “that’s a crazy idea, and how would that be fair! I’ve worked really hard for my grades! I’ve invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!”

The father slowly smiled and said gently, "Welcome to the conservative side of the fence."

Blog author's comments - If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

President Congratulates NFL Eagles Owner

Obama applauds Eagles for giving Vick second chance - Though the Eagles didn’t have a chance to make news on the field Sunday tonight, they made some more news off the field.

Peter King of NBC reported during Football Night in America that President Barack Obama recently called Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie to congratulate the team for giving quarterback Mike Vick a second chance.

President Obama explained that a level playing field rarely exists for prisoners who have completed their sentences. Vick’s success gives all of them hope.

In our view, Obama’s gesture also provides Vick with the kind of positive reinforcement that will help keep him out of any trouble during the 2011 off season, once he is left to his own devices.

Blog author's comments - "Cruelty to humans is occasionally understandable and even forgivable, but cruelty to animals somehow seems beyond redemption."- Philip R. Craig.

I do not believe the President should have made the call to congratulate the Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie. Does anyone believe if the Eagles were now 3-12 or if Vick was a white player Obama would have called him?

In my opinion Michael Vick should not have been allowed to ever again play in the NFL.

I cannot stand to hear of any animal being mistreated. The relationship between a dog or cat and their human care giver is something special.

My cat and dog have passed away and I can say without any doubt, that what they gave me the entire time we were together can only be described as love.

For Vick to exploit such a bond, to torture and kill those who only wanted to treat him with affection is unforgivable.

The Liberal Mind Equals Political Madness

Top Shrink Says Leftists Are Mentally Ill - Strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions' cited by veteran forensic psychiatrist. - Lyle H. Rossiter, JR.,M.D.

Just when liberal-leftists thought it was finally "their time" to lead center-right America, kicking and screaming, into a stifling socialist "utopia," a veteran psychiatrist is making a powerful case that the "hope-and-change" ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.

For more than 40 years, Rossiter has diagnosed and treated over 1,500 patients as a board-certified clinical psychiatrist and examined more than 2,700 civil and criminal cases, both state and federal, as a board-certified forensic psychiatrist retained by numerous public offices, courts and private attorneys. He received his medical and psychiatric training at the University of Chicago.

Rossiter explains with great clarity why the kind of liberalism being displayed by Barack Obama can only be understood as a psychological disorder.

"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Rossiter. "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."

"A social scientist who understands human nature will not dismiss the vital roles of free choice, voluntary cooperation and moral integrity – as liberals do," he says. "A political leader who understands human nature will not ignore individual differences in talent, drive, personal appeal and work ethic, and then try to impose economic and social equality on the population – as liberals do. And a legislator who understands human nature will not create an environment of rules which over regulates and overtaxes the nation's citizens, corrupts their character and reduces them to wards of the state – as liberals do."

Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:

* creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
* satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
* augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
* rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.

"The roots of liberalism – and its associated madness – can be clearly identified by understanding how children develop from infancy to adulthood and how distorted development produces the irrational beliefs of the liberal mind," he says. "When the modern liberal mind whines about imaginary victims, rages against imaginary villains and seeks above all else to run the lives of persons competent to run their own lives, the neurosis of the liberal mind becomes painfully obvious."

Blog author's comments - I have always wondered how liberals justify their thought patterns and decisions. Why are they for government involvement in many areas of our lives in spite of the fact that everything they advocate and stand for ends up a dismal social failure?

I believe liberalism defies explanation. Liberalism is not rooted in reason. This is perhaps why modern liberals so persistently attack the basis of our free society and why the United States is drifting toward socialism.

I want to believe that we are free from having our property and money which we have earned taken from us. Free from a government that clearly wants to make us into people who are dependent on the government to think and care for us.

At one time most Americans wanted to be independent, ingenious, loyal, and hard-working and did not need to pay for someone else's failures. Not too many years ago most people had pride in what they could do for themselves and their family.

It seems to me, for many in our society that is no longer the case. We need to stop the government from changing the values which made us the greatest country ever.

The current administration obviously believes just the opposite and this is precisely why our society must remove people like that who are in power and able to change our life in ways we do not want it changed.

What is a bit alarming is the onslaught of American citizens who are now followers of the liberal/progressive group. The percentage of these people seems to be growing.

Perhaps the midterm election in November is a sign that the majority of people don't agree with Obama's agenda and liberal base. The work required to take back our country has just begun.

Republicans Caved To Dems During Lame Duck

Laura Ingraham and Dick Morris Discussion Of Republicans Caving To Obama and the Democrats During The Lame-Duck Session

Morris: "It shows some disturbing signs of Republicans selling out...Democrats used the "last gasps of breath to jam through legislation that a congress of elected officials would never have supported."

Blog author's comment - The Lame Duck Democrats did as much damage as possible in their final hours. But, they could not have done so without the help they received from many Republicans. There is no way DADT should have passed, nor the Food Safety bill, and the ratification of the START Treaty.

With DADT Obama was merely soothing his gay supporters and that is all he wanted to accomplish. He does not care that he may now have caused problems for the military. He also bought into the treaty with the Russians. We did not have to give the Russians anything. We are the super power - well we were - until Obama became the President.

The RINO's helped the Democrats pass legislation which would not have passed if the Republicans would have put the Dems on hold, with whatever tactics they had to use, until the new members of the House and Senate are in office. Question: Where are the conservatives?

START Treaty To Be Ratified - Thanks RINO's!

START Treaty Clears Last Senate Hurdle Before Ratification

Fox News - WASHINGTON -- The Senate on Tuesday voted to limit debate on ratification of a major arms control accord with Russia, setting the stage for a final vote on the so-called START treaty.

The Senate voted 67-28 to advance the legislation, easily exceeding the 60 votes required. There have been enough Republicans publicly announce their support for the accord, including Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander, the No. 3 Republican in the Senate, putting it on a virtual glide path to ratification by Wednesday night.

"Well this is a joke," said Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., adding that he believes the administration gave up too much to the Russians to negotiate the treaty. "When you want zero nukes in the world, you're not an effective negotiator," he said.

The treaty specifically would limit each country's strategic nuclear warheads to 1,550, down from the current ceiling of 2,200.

The Democrats have enough votes to pass the START Treaty -- At least 9 Republicans support it and there will probably be more.

Republicans supporting START as of this writing:

Senator Lamar Alexander, R-TN
Senator Robert Bennett, R-UT
Senator Scott Brown, R-MA
Senator Bob Corker, R-TN
Senator Susan Collins, R-ME
Senator Johnny Isakson, R-GA
Senator Richard Lugar, R-IN
Senator Olympia Snowe, R-ME
Senator George Voinovich, R-OH

Blog author's comments - During the almost two years Obama and the Democrats have trashed this country the Republican Party has learned very little. One would think that they would stop the Dems whenever and however they could.

The voters still don't know what to expect from many current members of the GOP. They could have held the START treaty vote off until the new conservatives take office but it looks as though they have once again caved.

I think it is time for Brown, Collins, Snowe and Lugar to become permanent members of the Democrat Party. They helped push DADT across the line for a win for Obama and it looks like the RINO's will do the same with the START treaty.

I have to believe the Russians have a much greater number of tactical weapons than we do. Of course they'd be happy to get rid of whatever number we're getting rid of. They will still have a vastly larger number.

We are asked to believe Russia and what they have told us when we are talking about the safety of our country? Haven't the GOP lawmakers seen clearly what Obama wants to do to America?

Napolitano - Big Sis, Unfortunately In Charge!

Napolitano: We're working "364 days a year" to fightterror - A nuanced treat from the same tough-minded security mind who looked upon the near-destruction of Flight 253 and declared, "The system worked." In fact, now that I think of it, didn’t the Flight 253 plot go down last year on Christmas Day? Well, then, there’s your answer to why DHS missed so many red flags at the time: They had Christmas off.

Clip via Mediate, which finds the silver lining here: “Napolitano didn’t specify which day was the Homeland Security ‘off day,’ which of course helps to keep our terrorist enemies off guard.”

(Ad Will Close In A Few Seconds)

Blog author's comment - Napolitano said, we’re working “364 days a year” to fight terror. Our government at work, well, except for that one day. I have no doubt, Obama is quite proud of her. Now if she could just target the terrorists instead of the American people.

The problem is where you are directing your fight! Here is a clue, admit we are fighting radical Islam and they are our enemy. You are not working on terror. If that was the case then you need to do you job, if Obama would allow it, and enforce our borders and also round up the illegal's.

Ms. Napolitano, it is my conclusion that you are not qualified to be Director of Homeland Security.

NPR Reporter Attended - Gasp! - A Christmas Party

Nina Totenberg: 'I Was At, Forgive the
Expression, a Christmas Party'

newsbusters - "I was at – forgive the expression – a Christmas party," NPR reporter Nina Totenberg interjected on Inside Washington in the weekend’s oddest cautionary separation from a common description for a common event, seemingly embarrassed to invoke any religious terminology for Christmas. She didn’t say what she’d prefer for parties this time of the year to be named. "Winter solstice party"? Just plain old "holiday party"? Or a "seasonal gathering"?

Totenberg’s bashfulness came as she explained how the failure of Congress to pass an annual budget has left federal workers in limbo:Well, these agencies, including the Defense Department, don't know how much money they've got and for what. And I was at – forgive the expression – a Christmas party at the Department of Justice and people actually were really worried about this.

Blog author's comments - So, what did Totenberg actually mean by "forgive the expression"? I believe most of us know what she meant. Here’s a much better idea, how about she apologize for pretending to be an American. I believe the entire lineup at NPR to be a herd of anti-American liberals.

There you have it folks. Just more proof that liberalism is a severe mental disorder. So now to be politically correct using the word "Christmas" should no longer be tolerated. What has happened to this country in just a few years?

DADT - Repealed!

John McCain on repeal of DADT: "We could possibly and probably harm the battle effectiveness which is so vital to the survival of the young men and women in our military" - The U.S. military will for the first time in history allow gays to serve openly after the Senate voted Saturday to repeal "don't ask, don't tell," the policy that has required such troops to hide their sexual identity or risk being expelled from the services.

While opponents said repeal would create a battlefield distraction that could endanger troops, supporters drew parallels to the military's decision to end racial segregation in the 1950s and the admission of women to military service academies in the 1970s.

Blog author's comments - What this is about is Obama and the Dems pandering for the gay vote. Obama did this to appease the gays. Nothing good can come of this.

The Republican RINO senators voting “yes” with the Democrats on repeal were Richard Burr of North Carolina, Mark Kirk of Illinois, John Ensign of Nevada, Scott Brown of Massachusetts, George Voinovich of Ohio, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska – and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins, both of Maine.

I would assume the attorneys are already lining up waiting for the many cases of gays claiming their civil rights were violated after this bill becomes law. There will be problems among the troops.

Little Bobby Gibbs the White House press secretary said repeal of DADT will "strengthen our national security while upholding the basic equality on which this nation was founded."

How will this strengthen our national security? The military isn't having trouble recruiting now. The challenge they will face is retaining trained and experienced troops. A majority of troops oppose repeal of DADT.

Senate Rejects DREAM Act

Senate Rejects DREAM Act , Closing Door
On Immigration Reform For Now

The Hill - Senate Republicans and a handful of Democrats voted Saturday morning to block legislation that would grant legal residency to illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. before the age of 16.

The DREAM Act, which would give legal status to illegal immigrants who came to the country at a young age, lived here for at least five years, graduated from high school and attended college or served in the military, fell five votes short of the 60 needed to overcome a GOP-led filibuster — 55 to 41.

Three Republicans — Sens. Robert Bennett (Utah), Dick Lugar (Ind.) and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) — voted to advance the legislation.

Five Democrats voted no: Sens. Max Baucus (Mont.), Kay Hagan (N.C.), Ben Nelson (Neb.), Mark Pryor (Ark.), and Jon Tester (Mont.).

Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), an outspoken critic of illegal immigration and various proposals to grant illegal immigrants a path to citizenship, will take over as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, which wields jurisdiction over the issue, next year.

Sen. Steve King (R-Iowa), another outspoken opponent of illegal immigration, will take over as chairman of Judiciary’s immigration subcommittee. - Continue reading > >

Blog author's comments - And now they all need to go home, that’s the real DREAM act. The rule of law wins and amnesty at any cost goes up in flames.

Now it is time to finally do something serious about controlling our borders and enforcing immigration law.

Is America waking up? Perhaps the GOP and some Democrats are ready to begin to stop what Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the rest of the Dems and some RINO's have been doing for two years.

This was a big win for conservatives.

GOP Must Filibuster $1.1 Trillion Omnibus Bill

Gingrich - Filibuster Massive Spending Bill - If Congress fails to pass a spending bill before Sunday, all non-essential portions of the federal government are effectively “shutdown.” Regardless, Newt Gingrich tells HUMAN EVENTS that Republicans must filibuster the Omnibus bill and not allow it to move in the Senate.

Republicans should offer to pass a “very clean, simple Continuing Resolution that keeps the government open.” The GOP shouldn’t budge, insists the former Speaker of the House. “This past election was in part over pork-barrel spending by earmarks” and the “Democrats are trying to behave as though the election didn’t occur.”

As reported by HUMAN EVENTS, Harry Reid’s Omnibus behemoth has 6,714 earmarks in it, totaling $8.3 billion, which would fund “pork” projects. - Continue reading > >

Blog author's comments - The GOP has to filibuster this bill. The devious Democrat Party along with a few RINO's is out of control. The reason the Dems lost so big in November was in part because of their non-stop spending.

They have been writing this Omnibus bill for at least a year. There was no way they were going to drop this on us prior to the midterm election. If they did, they knew they would have suffered an even bigger loss in both the House and Senate.

The GOP won in November but they and the American public are now getting their clock cleaned. If this does not make Obama a one term president, I have no idea what it will take.

We will now see if the Republican Party has the guts to do what is right. If this bill does become law the country will be in such enormous debt that it may never recover.

**Update** -- Senate Dem Leader Drops Nearly $1.3 Trillion Spending Bill.

Nevada Democrat Harry Reid gave up on the nearly $1.3 trillion bill after several Republicans who had been thinking of voting for the bill pulled back their support.

We shall see how long this will last and if it is truly a done deal!

Al Sharpton Continues To Pimp For The Left

Let The Character Assassination Games Begin - By Neal Boortz
In case you weren't aware, the war against talk radio has officially begun. Again. At the helm is none other than that corrupt, lying race-pimp Al Sharpton. If the left wants this jerk to be the symbol of their campaign against talk radio, so be it.

Sharpton is launching a full-scale campaign to stifle conservatives heard over the "public's airwaves," and he is starting with the nail that sticks out the furthest: Rush Limbaugh. Earlier in the week, Al Sharpton had this to say on MSNBC .. which, by the way, will no doubt be the station that will champion the cause of stifling conservative broadcasting (because they KNOW they cannot compete with it on the open market place).

"We're not going to stand by and let publicly regulated radio and television just go for marketing and promoting this kind of racism," Al Sharpton said about his campaign to take Rush Limbaugh off the airwaves.

"Rush Limbaugh has the right to say whatever he wants to say, he does not have the right, though, to do it on publicly regulated airwaves. The FCC has the responsibility to set standards," Sharpton added.

"You can't say -- in the name of free speech, you can't say anything you want," Al Sharpton said on MSNBC. "We're not talking about stopping free speech," he added. "We're not telling Rush don't say what you want to say, say it at home, not on public airwaves," he concluded.

Yesterday we had Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center on the show with us to discuss this new campaign. He says, "This is the beginning of a concerted campaign across the board to knock conservative opinion off the air." Why does Bozell believe they are doing this? Because "they can't debate us anymore," so they've resorted to character assassination.

Bozell points out that they tried the Fairness Doctrine, they tried localism campaigns, and now their latest effort starts with the demonization of Rush Limbaugh. - Entire column > >

Blog author's comments - Al Sharpton is a race baiting fool who has made his living trying to ruin others lives using the tool he knows best -- the race card.

But he is a black member of the Democrat Party so that makes him an okay guy, a perfect fit on liberal news networks like MSNBC or any other network which cannot compete with conservative talk radio. The White House also enjoys this immensely. Limbaugh and others who do conservative talk radio shows give us information that the MSM refuses to even touch upon.

Sharpton has been threatening Rush Limbaugh for the past few weeks and now wants a meeting with the FCC to tell them that they should control what Limbaugh says or remove him from the airwaves because he is a racist. Is that not the pot calling the kettle black?

Let's take a look at some of the racist cases Sharpton has been in the middle of:

1987: Sharpton spreads the incendiary Tawana Brawley hoax, insisting heatedly that a 15-year-old black girl was abducted and raped by a group of white men. He singles out Steve Pagones, a young prosecutor who is wholly innocent — the crime never occurred — but Sharpton taunts him: “If we’re lying, sue us, so we can prove you did it.” Pagones does sue, and eventually wins a $345,000 verdict for defamation.

1991: A Hasidic Jewish driver in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights section accidentally kills Gavin Cato, a 7-year-old black child, and antisemitic riots erupt. Sharpton races to pour gasoline on the fire. At Gavin’s funeral he rails against the “diamond merchants” — code for Jews — with “the blood of innocent babies” on their hands. He mobilizes hundreds of demonstrators to march through the Jewish neighborhood. A rabbinical student is surrounded by a mob shouting “Kill the Jews!” and stabbed to death.

1995: When the United House of Prayer, a large black landlord in Harlem, raises the rent on Freddy’s Fashion Mart, Freddy’s white Jewish owner is forced to raise the rent on his subtenant, a black-owned music store. Sharpton uses it to incite racial hatred. Sharpton’s National Action Network sets up picket lines. Some protesters shout, “Burn down the Jew store!” “We’re going to see that this cracker suffers.” One of the protesters bursts into Freddy’s, shoots four employees point-blank, then sets the store on fire. Seven employees die in the inferno.

Sharpton is also a liar, cheat and tax dodger. Overall a good fit for the Democrat Party.

On May 9, 2008, the Associated Press reported that Sharpton and his businesses owed almost $1.5 million in unpaid taxes and penalties. He owed $931,000 in federal income tax and $366,000 to New York, and his for-profit company, Rev. Al Communications, owed another $176,000 to the state.

On June 19, 2008, the New York Post reported that the Internal Revenue Service had sent subpoenas to several corporations that had donated to Sharpton's National Action Network. According to the Post, several major corporations donated thousands of dollars to the National Action Network. The Post asserted that the donations were made to prevent boycotts or rallies by the National Action Network.

On September 29, 2010, Robert Snell of the Detroit News reported that the Internal Revenue Service had filed a notice of federal tax lien against Sharpton in New York City in the amount of over $538,000.

Sharpton is a real piece of work. This is just a small sampling of what he has been doing to promote race relations in America and what he gets away with by somehow skirting the laws that most of us must live by.

Cavuto Slams Matthews On Christie Comments

Neil Cavuto Hammers Chris Matthews For
Attacking Gov. Chris Christie's Weight

(Ad Will Close In A Few Seconds)

Quoting Neil Cavuto:"I prefer they look in the mirror themselves and stick their condescending comments up their you know what. But that is just me, slightly overweight, very pissed."

Blog author's comments - Neil Cavuto's show is one of the few news shows worth viewing. That said, I think his comments concerning the shots Chris Matthews took at Gov. Christie were very good.

'Hardball' host Chris Matthews appeared at a local event in Washington D.C. last Thursday to trash Republican Chris Christie as too fat to be President. The Washington Examiner reported that Matthews derided the New Jersey governor, mocking, "Chris Christie is moon over New Jersey, he should not wear white shirts, I tell you that."

This is what prompted the remarks by Neil Cavuto. Chris Matthews is one of the talking heads on the all liberal -- all the time MSNBC. He will go after anyone who is a 'hated' conservative.

I must wonder if what he said about Chris Christie - would he have said that to him in person? I believe we know the answer to that question.

Has Chris Matthews ever had something intelligent to say about anything?

Judge Declares Obamacare Unconstitutional

Federal judge in Va. strikes down health care law - RICHMOND, Va. – A federal judge in Virginia has declared the Obama administration's health care reform law unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge Henry Hudson is the first judge to rule against the law, which has been upheld by two others in Virginia and Michigan.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli filed the lawsuit challenging the law's requirement that citizens buy health insurance or pay a penalty starting in 2014.

He argues the federal government doesn't have the constitutional authority to impose the requirement.

Other lawsuits are pending, including one filed by 20 states in a Florida court. Virginia is not part of that lawsuit.

The U.S. Justice Department and opponents of the health care law agree that the U.S. Supreme Court will have the final word.

Blog author's comments - Finally, a judge who has read the health care bill. Obama and the democrats have lied about Obamacare from day one. They have bribed democrats to pass it, and have so far given out 200 plus waivers to select companies and unions so they don't have to implement this health care law.

Most of us also remember the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi talking about Obamacare saying "we have to pass the bill so we can find out what is in it." Apparently Judge Hudson knows what is in it.

We do need to stop the Democrats from turning the country into a socialist state. Perhaps the first act by the people was the midterm election.

The decision of Judge Hudson is just a start. Now if only our Republican leaders can take what has happened to the country seriously, and do everything within their power to stop the Dems from fulfilling their dream to mold the country into what they feel it should be. The new conservatives in the House will hopefully be a big help.

I do believe that eventually it will go to the Supreme Court and I am not very confident in what the outcome from these learned Justices would be. We know for sure that four of them would side with the liberal Democrats. They do not believe in the Constitution.

Another piece of Democrat Party legislature rammed down the throats of the American citizens when the majority said they did not want it. Barack Obama and the Democrats believe they know what is best for us. We need to get through this 'lame duck' session with as little damage as possible.

Obama did say with a straight face, that his health care plan would cover millions more people while reducing premiums, and allow us to keep our current doctors and reduce the deficit. We know this is not true. He lied!

Good News Concerning Lost Kitty

Prodigal kitty returns home 5 years after Katrina - Biloxi Miss. (AP) — Five years after wandering away in Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath, a gray and white cat named Scrub has been reunited with his Mississippi family

The Humane Society of South Mississippi says Scrub was identified by an implanted microchip. The 7-year-old cat was brought to the shelter by a Gulfport woman who’d fed him as a stray the past couple of months but worried about his safety during a cold snap.

Scrub’s owner, Jennifer Noble, tells The Sun Herald newspaper that she was skeptical at first when she received a call from the shelter. But by the end of the first night back, Scrub had snuggled in bed with one of her boys.

The woman who’d been feeding him lives about 15 miles away. Noble says Scrub is in excellent condition.

Blog author's comments - This was a bit of news to lighten the mood. Nice story and Scrub is finally at home with his family. I'm sure kitty Scrub and family are all quite happy.

The dire political climate of this country is not the only subject I blog about - well perhaps 99% of the time.

Clinton Conducted Presser, Obama With First Lady

Obama Leaves Press Room - Clinton In Charge

Obama asked Bill Clinton to the White House to help bail him out of the hammering he is taking from members of his own party because of the tax deal he made with the GOP.

After their meeting he brought Clinton to the press room instead of speaking to the press alone as any other President would have done. What happened was that Clinton took the podium and began fielding questions from the press.

Obama than ditches the tax-cut presser after Clinton takes control. "I've been keeping the first lady waiting so I'm going to take off" said Obama.
Krauthammer gets a shout out from Clinton at the White House briefing. During an interview with Sean Hannity, Krauthamner responds "when you get praise from President Clinton and you're from my side, you're done."

Blog author's comments - Minority Leader Mitch McConnell's tax-cut deal with Obama and the Democrats was a very weak showing by the GOP party. The GOP settled too fast and for far too little.

After the bashing the Dems took last month the Republicans had the upper hand. Obama had to make a decision and the GOP gave him a sweet deal.

Let the tax rates go up on January 1st. The Democrats had two years to deal with this. The new Congress coming in will fix it, if the Republican leadership will allow it.

They should have told Obama that the Bush 'tax rates' which have been in place for seven years should be made permanent. Also, at most an additional three months of unemployment benefits and after that it is over, no more! Presently the unemployed can receive 99 weeks of government checks. Now they will receive an additional 13 months of government hand outs.

The two year extension of the current tax rates will do nothing for the economy. If the tax rates were made permanent many companies would know were they stand with regard to taxes and would feel better about investing to expand their business and hire more workers.

Nothing's changing. Tax rates are staying the same. Why should we settle for that? We won the election. If the Republicans announced clearly that their intention is to ensure a longer term lock-in on the rates, or even cut them, then it would help settle some of the anxiety. Where is the Republican vision? Do they have one?

They should have left the ball in Obama's court. Tell him this is the deal, if you don't like it, you decide what you want to do. So the GOP has gained nothing and the government is spending more money.

It seems to me the old guard of the GOP is using the same old play book. They should get out of the way in January when the new conservatives arrive and give them a chance to govern.

If this does not happen the GOP will be giving the Democrats a win and Obama a second term in 2012. This will crush the country.

The Democrats Are Starting To Eat Their Own

Profanity, Anger Spill Over in House Democratic Caucus Meeting - The frustration with President Barack Obama over his tax cut compromise was palpable and even profane at Thursday’s House Democratic Caucus meeting.

One unidentified lawmaker went so far as to mutter “f--- the president” while Rep. Shelley Berkley was defending the package the president negotiated with Republicans. Berkley confirmed the incident, although she declined to name the specific lawmaker.

“It wasn’t loud,” the Nevada Democrat said. “It was just expressing frustration from a very frustrated Member.”

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.) was also overheard saying that “we can’t trust him” not to cave to Republicans and extend the tax cuts again in two years, according to a Democratic source. - Continue reading >

Blog author's comments -Who would have thought this could happen, the progressives are turning on 'The Messiah'.

The Democrats are upset with their leader who could do no wrong. During the House Democratic Caucus meeting on Thursday, apparently the discussion got a bit heated.

They met to discuss what should be done concerning the Bush tax cuts. These tax cuts are set to expire this coming January.

Why are so many members of the Democrat Party now being racists? Haven't they been telling those of us who disagree with President Barack Hussein Obama that we are the racists?

As we conservatives well know, especially during the past two years, elections do have consequences.

It is interesting to watch the finger pointing among the Dems who are now facing some difficult choices, ones they did not believe they would have to make. Let us hope it gets worse for them...much worse!

Note to Democrats and journalists: The Bush tax 'cuts' happened seven years ago, they're now existing tax 'rates.' If they remain in place this is not giving a tax break to the wealthy. If they are allowed to expire the economy will only become worse.

Will The People Of The U.S. Accept Socialism?

Because of Liberalism Will We Become A Socialist Country?

Blog author's comments - I believe Obama is basically a socialist and is seeking socialism for the country. Democrats want more control of our lives.

They will gain more control by taxing the wealthy and businesses, but what will this do to create jobs? The Bush era tax cuts should be extended for at least ten years or longer. This would give some incentive to businesses to begin long term planning, to spend and begin hiring.

The Democrats consider a couple who are employed and many small businesses that are making $250 thousand a year as wealthy.

The wealthy pay taxes - 86% of all federal income taxes are paid by the top 25% of income earners.

The TOP 50% pay 97% of all income taxes.

The TOP 1% pays 39% of all income taxes.

The Bush era tax cuts included everyone and that is what should continue. What is being bartered are tax increases to fund more unemployment benefits.

The Democrats feel it is their job to take wealth from those who earn it and give it to those who have not attained a quality of life that they feel should be enjoyed by receiving someone else's money. Obama is playing the class envy game, pitting the 'have not's' against the 'haves'.

The unemployed are already able to receive 99 weeks of benefits. The deal which is currently on the table will give the unemployed yet another year of benefits. When will this end? When will the government finally say "no more?" Where is the incentive to seek a job when the government is caring for you?

As Norman Thomas said, "The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism' they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

This is the direction Obama is taking the country. The majority of voters in November told him they do not want to go in that direction.

The election of 2012 must be the time to remove Obama and many other Democrats from office who want to turn the United States into a socialist country.

Sen. Jim Demint - Say's No To Tax Deal

Republican Senator Jim DeMint appeared on the Hugh Hewitt Show and said he'd vote to filibuster the tax deal worked out between Senate leaders and the Obama Administration because it's a bad deal. - Jim Demint: Hugh, most of us who ran this election said we were not going to vote for anything that increased the deficit. This does. It raises taxes, it raises the death tax. I don’t think we needed to negotiate that aspect of this thing away. I don’t think we need to extend unemployment any further without paying for it, and without making some modifications such as turning it into a loan at some point.

So there’s a lot of problems with it. I mean, and frankly, the biggest problem I have, Hugh, is we don’t need a temporary economy, which means we don’t need a temporary tax rate. A permanent extension of our current tax rates would allow businesses to plan five and ten years in advance, and that’s how you build an economy.

Blog author's comments - Spending is out of control. The deal President Obama supposedly made with Republicans on extending the Bush tax cuts further expands the government with the extension of jobless benefits.

From what I have seen the plan calls for extending tax cuts from the Bush era that are due to expire at year's end, renewing jobless benefits through the end of 2011 and granting a one-year cut in Social Security taxes. The extension of the Bush tax cuts is only for two years. So how will businesses plan for long term goals with only a two year window?

Obama said he expects the unemployment rate to go down because of the compromise, although he would not predict by how much.

He also said he believes the jobless rate will recede because the economy is growing, even if businesses haven't yet picked up the pace of hiring enough to send large numbers of people back to work.

There has not been a vote in the House or Senate which means it is not a done deal.

Don Meredith Dies - Dalls Cowboys Quarterback

Don Meredith: April 10, 1938 - December 5, 2010 (age 72)

For those of you who have no idea who he was, Don Meredith was the Dallas Cowboy's quarterback in the 60's. He was quarterbacking during the 1966 NFL championship game in Dallas, and the 1967 "Ice Bowl" in Green Bay. Don Meredith played his entire career for the Dallas Cowboys, 1960 - 1968.

"Dandy Don," while never leading the Cowboys to a Super Bowl, was always exceptionally popular with Cowboys fans who remember him for his grit and toughness, his outgoing nature, and his leadership during the first winning seasons for the Cowboys.

During his career, he had a 50.7 percent completion rate, throwing for 17,199 yards and 135 touchdowns with a lifetime passer rating of 74.8. He was named the NFL Player of the Year in 1966 and was named to the Pro Bowl three times. He is also a member of the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Following his football career, Meredith became a color commentator for ABC's Monday Night Football beginning in 1970. He left for three seasons to work at NBC, then returned to Monday Night Football with partners Frank Gifford and Howard Cosell.

His approach to color commentary was light-hearted and folksy, in contrast to Cosell's detailed and intellectual analysis and Gifford's play-by-play technique. He was known for singing "Turn out the lights, the party's over" at the time the game was apparently decided.

Blog author's comments - I was lucky to watch his great play on the field, but also remember him well as part of the original cast of "Monday Night Football" when it premiered in 1970.

He was entertaining, a great competitor, and I wish him rest. Don, you were special. Monday Night Football has never been the same without you.

White House Weekly Address

White House Weekly Address With Joe Biden - Unemployment Numbers Are Worse So Unemployment Benefits Must Be Extended - Tax Cuts For The Middle Class

Blog author's comments - The White House weekly address presented by VP Joe Biden. Notice the sincere, caring act from Biden? Barack Hussein Obama is conveniently not around when the news comes out that the unemployment rate is currently 9.8%.

Prior to the midterm election Obama did not want to discuss the extension of the tax cuts put in place by George W. Bush. Now the regime wants to extend the cuts for a short period of time but only for the 'middle class'. This is only for those making less than $250 thousand per year. The Democrats are in campaign mode and again trying to convince the voters that the GOP is the party of the rich.

The rich pay taxes - 86% of all federal income taxes are paid by the top 25% of income earners.

The TOP 50% pay 97% of all income taxes.

The TOP 1% pay 39% of all income taxes.

The Bush tax cuts included everyone and that is what should continue. The Obama administration would rather play their blame game against the GOP instead of continuing the tax cuts which are due to expire at the end of the year.

As for extending the unemployment benefits, currently those who are not employed can collect benefits for 99 weeks. What incentive is there for many of these people to look for a job? They also know these benefits will probably be extended.

Where will it end? Two years from now will these same people who are collecting benefits still be collecting them? It has to stop some time but apparently not with Obama at the helm.

The main reason so many people are out of work is because of Obama. While campaigning he said he would tax the rich and businesses. Anyone making over $250 thousand would pay the heavy tax -- redistribute the wealth.

This would not only hurt large companies but many small businesses. As a result they stopped spending and the down sizing began. Obama still blames Bush for all of this and his leftist base continues to agree with him.

While these two bills are being discussed, Harry Reid is pushing the "DREAM" act which will if passed give millions of illegals, legal status. This will also provide many more votes for the Democrats in 2012.

The bills will come fast and furious during the 'lame duck' session. Let's hope the GOP does everything they can to stop all of them. Any bill the Democrats want to pass will further damage the economy and bring more debt.

The Battle To Stop Obama Has Just Begun

Opposing Obama - Gird up for battle. The next two years will be a rocky road.

Barack Obama is no Bill Clinton. He's far more leftist. He's at least equally as ruthless.

His outlook is far more alien to middle America, in that he really does believe much of middle America is benighted -- clinging wrongly to God and guns, unable to think clearly under pressure, too stupid or ignorant or bourgeois to know what's in their own best interests.

And he doesn't share Clinton's neediness for short-term, person-to-person, feel-the-brotherly-love positive reinforcement. His goal isn't personal "connection" with voters; it's long-term adulation or adoration, verging on worshipfulness -- an adulation that recognizes him as a world-transformational figure, a virtual gift to mankind.

Clinton, for all his faults, actually did empathize with individuals. Obama doesn't empathize; he pities. And the object of pity is not an object to respect, so he doesn't really respect the citizens he serves; he merely wants to tell them how to live, for what he imagines is their own good.

Obama is perfectly willing to push executive power -- actually, executive fiat -- to the limit. The blizzard of regulations, or administrative rule-making divorced from congressional intent, that will come in the next two years will be staggering. So will the executive orders. The "privilege" claims against public disclosure will be extravagant. He'll use the IRS, other administrative agencies, and perhaps the Justice Department, to harass political opponents.

This is, after all, a man who looks with a fair amount of disdain, rather than pride, at American history. He believes corporations are inherently evil, unless they are "partnered" with (or dominated by and directly answerable to) government.

To deal with Obama, then, conservatives will need to keep our cool and keep our wits. But in keeping our cool, we act not in hatred for what Obama stands for, but through love for country, Constitution, and civil society. - Continue reading > >

Blog author's comments - Obama, Pelosi and Reid are not going to change. They will try to continue to govern the next two years much like the last two.

The Democrats have learned nothing from the midterm election. They will ram through any bill they can during the 'lame duck' session and after that, use any devious method available to do what they can to build upon their power and mold the country into what they believe it should be.

For the remainder of his term Obama will also attempt to place the blame for everything that is wrong with the country on the GOP. This will include high unemployment, the state of the economy etc.

Obama did not want to work with the Republicans the past two years. During this time he drove the most expansive liberal agenda through Congress than any President in 50 years.

For the Republicans to try to undermine every aspect of Obama's agenda over the next two years is not only expected of them it is what the majority of voters elected them to do. The GOP win in November is a plea from the people who care about our country to put a stop to the out of control train of the Obama regime.

He will of course do whatever it takes to win a second term. If the Republican Party does not stay ahead of him and stop him with whatever means necessary we will lose in 2012. If this should happen it could well be the end of our once great country. We cannot let this happen.

Obama Reinstates Gulf Drilling Moratorium

AP source: Gov't won't end drilling ban off Fla.

AP - TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — President Barack Obama's administration won't allow any new oil drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico for at least the next seven years because of the BP oil spill.

A senior administration official told The Associated Press on Wednesday that drilling leases won't be considered in the waters off Florida as part of the change. He spoke on condition of anonymity because the decision hadn't been announced yet.

He said that because of the BP spill, the administration now understands the need to elevate safety and environmental standards. Before the spill, the administration had considered a plan to allow drilling in the eastern Gulf.

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar was expected to discuss the decision later Wednesday afternoon.

Rush Limbaugh Explains It (Video)

Blog author's comments -Remember when Barack Hussein Obama announced an end to his moratorium on oil drilling? It was a lie. The Obama administration won't allow any new oil drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico for at least the next seven years because of the BP oil spill.

Even though he 'lifted' the moratorium a couple months ago on deep water drilling in the Gulf, the government has not issued any new licenses to drill.

Many other countries are drilling in the Gulf but not us. The Obama Administration on Wednesday issued a massive new ban on off-shore oil drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico and off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

No new oil means no new energy. This will mean higher prices for oil and gasoline. Thank you President Obama. I do hope the GOP will help the voters remember what you are doing and all that you have done when it comes time to vote in 2012.

Christmas Season and the Politically Correct

Let's Call It The German 'Holiday' Village

(Picture and Poll which appeared in the Philadelphia paper) - It's that season again, which means that for the third year in a row, the German Christmas Village has set up a cozy collection of wooden booths and tree vendors in Dilworth Plaza on the west side of City Hall.

But a few shoppers noticed something amiss yesterday on the tall metal archways signaling the entrances to the shops. The archways had just one word on top -"Village." Sounds festive, right?

It turns out that the letters spelling "Christmas" were removed yesterday afternoon from the archways on the north and west sides of the plaza, at the request of Managing Director Richard Negrin. They will be replaced with the word "Holiday."

City spokesman Mark McDonald said Negrin asked for the change after the city received complaints from workers and residents.

"As a city of great diversity, one shouldn't be surprised that there's a difference of views when it comes to symbols and words," McDonald said.

Thomas Bauer, of the German American Marketing Inc., which runs the Village, said he was happy to change the sign. "People have to go to public buildings, they shouldn't feel offended." - Entire column > >

Blog author's comments - Political correctness out of control. If they are offended by the word Christmas, then they have serious problems.

We are in the United States of America. Would you go to Israel and tell the Jews they cannot celebrate Hanukkah or light a menorah.

Would you dine at a Muslim restaurant and demand to be served pork. (well yes I just might do that) Some of these people are pathetic.

They complain and play the race/religion card because they can and someone will give them what they want. It is way past the time for this to stop!

Charles Barkley On Obama's Basketball Skills

Barkley Not Impressed With Obama's Basketball Skills

cbsnews - Obama may be used to taking flak from Republicans for being too left-leaning. Now, he's getting it from basketball stars, too.

"He's a lefty. He always goes left," said former pro basketball star Charles Barkley, of the president's basketball prowess. "And if you just stand there, I'm not sure if you were to open up the right side, he could go right at all."

Barkley on Conan O'Brien's show was asked if he could easily take on the president in a one-on-one match-up. "Oh yeah," he said. "I mean, I'm an old fat guy now, but I'd kick his ass."

Blog author's comments - Good comments by Charles Barkley. He was talking about Obama's basketball skills but I believe it was also a backhanded swipe by Charles Barkley at Obama politically.

At least the liberals can't play the 'race card' with Barkley vs. Obama.

"He's a lefty. He always goes left," Barkley said. "And I'm not sure if you were to open up the right side, he could go right at all."

GOP Rep. Blasts Acting House Speaker

Abuse Of Power By Acting Democrat Speaker On Display

GOP Rep. Steve Buyer Blasts Acting Dem Speaker: "This is why the People have Thrown You Out".

This is quite an exchange on the House floor, it is between Republican Steve Buyer and the acting Democratic House Speaker who is playing games with the rules. She will not recognize him and there is no one to object.

Blog author's comments - “This is why the American people have thrown you out of power,” GOP Rep. Buyer said to acting speaker Laura Richardson.

This type of action by the Democrats is only one of the reasons why the GOP won big in the midterm election. It's not only at this level of the Democrat Party, this attitude by Richardson also comes from the Oval Office.
